The intent of the Price List Guide is to proactively communicate strategic information connected to activity on the Price List at a global level. The new multi-tiered licensing model offers a variety of benefits including: Flexibility. Customers can mix and match various types of user licenses within a deployment to accommodate the specific needs of their businesses. High value. Customers can choose from highly competitive licensing offerings to optimize the Total Cost of Ownership. 4

5 Easy-to-Understand. Customers can acquire licenses based on the functionality that users require (rather than how users access the application). Parity. Equivalency in the licensing use rights of online and on- premises licenses makes it easier for customers to compare and decide what works best for them. With Microsoft Online Fall 2013 service update, Microsoft Online is introducing new online user licenses, new support options and additional add-ons for the Enterprise Agreement and Enterprise Agreement Subscription programs starting October 1, Pricing is also being increased for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Professional license to better align with the functionality being delivered with Microsoft Online Fall 2013 service update, the inclusion of the new Multi-tier licensing model and to more closely align with competitor pricing. 8 Bing Maps Price Decreases Effective October 1, 2013, Price adjustments are being made to the Bing Maps Enterprise Platform and Bing Maps Mobile Asset Management Platform sku s to improve market accessibility to Bing Maps. QZA ZFA QAA DynCRMLtdCAL ALNG LicSAPk MVL UsrCAL DynCRMCAL SNGL LicSAPk MVL UsrCAL Dyn CRM Wkgrp Svr 2013 All Lng MVL O365 Government Price Changes in Open, OV, and OVS Open/OV/OVS Pricing for O365 Government will be updated and reduced on the October 1st price list. The update still maintains the principle around providing Government partners and customers the most affordable pricing options available. Below are details around the price update: 8

9 Pricing is being reduced for selected skus by ~12% for Government offerings in Open/OV/OVS. (See table below for skus impacted). For Open/OV/OVS customers the pricelist will be updated on October 1st, however the new pricing can communicated to partners and customers as of September 1st with the release of the October 30-day price list preview. Transactions against the new pricing can begin starting October 1st. ERP uplifts for Open/OV/OVS Government will align to the standard Open policy for most O365 skus and align directionally with other programs (The ERP change does not impact the United States and Brazil where ERP exceptions already exist). Product Family OFFICE 365 PLAN E1 ARCHIVING EXCHANGE ONLINE PLAN 1 OPEN OFFICE 365 PLAN E1 OPEN OFFICE 365 PLAN E3 OPEN Point Count Changes Changes to Point Counts cannot be tied to a particular price list month. Point counts flow to downstream systems as soon as they are either set, or changed. While this precludes the ability to provide a 30-day preview on point count changes, it does mean that point count errors can be corrected quickly without relying on the following month s price list publication schedule. As point count changes will not be visible on the preview price list, please refer to the Product List for updated point counts in the interim. License point values (referred to as the Unit Count on price lists) are assigned based on a product s global base price using a sliding scale and are only applicable in the Open and Select program. Each product pool (Applications, Systems, Server) has a unique scale for assigning point counts. Miscellaneous Clarification: Microsoft IT Academy (ITA) Program SKUs now in Open Effective September 1, 2013, Microsoft IT Academy (ITA) Program SKUs were made available for purchase in the Volume Licensing Open Academic channel. At the time of that launch, the language provided in the September Price List Guide may not have clearly articulated some of the details of the new offerings. The previous entry included the following statement: When academic institutions purchase the IT Academy program (valid for one year), they can feel confident that they are providing their staff and students with multiple opportunities and avenues to learn. Clarifying, the minimum requirements to sell IT Academy Subscription (ITA) or Cert SKUs under Open Academic have been waived, effectively allowing partners to add either 1 IT Academy Subscription or 1 MCP Cert Pack to a new or 9

10 existing agreement with no other products required. The minimum requirements to sell ITA or Cert SKUs under other Academic programs: EES, OVS-ES and Select remains unchanged. The new order for IT Academy subscription under Open Academic will automatically start Open License Agreement. The Agreement number is called Authorization Number, and it is valid for 2 years with subscription end date being coterminus with the agreement end date. The same customer can send subsequent order against active Authorization Number.
