Curry: CV 7 American College of Emergency Physicians National Association of Physicians ACEP South Carolina Chapter South Carolina Medical Association Greenwood County Medical Association Area of Special Experience and Interest: Disaster Medicine and Preparedness -- numerous mass casualty experiences including plane crashes, mass shootings, hurricane and earthquake relief. I have lectured extensively on these topics, including in Africa to health care providers of several nations, in Thailand, as well as all over the US. Helped develop and revise Emergency Preparedness Plans for communities, special events and hospitals. Education -- I enjoy teaching all types and levels of students, from my position as Medical Director for Paramedic Program, including teaching Army medics of all levels in the field and in hospital, ACLS, PALS, Medical students, Nursing students, interns, Physician Assistants and Emergency Medicine Residents. I have always maintained a high level of involvement in EMS on all levels, from education to system administration. I remain very active in this arena in my community hospital as well as on a county and state-wide basis. Wilderness and Environmental Medicine -- my interests in this area professionally stem from my personal interests in the outdoors, such as hiking, skiing, swimming, canoeing, scuba diving, camping and fishing. Observation Medicine -- Established and oversaw the development of Madigan Army Medical Center's Observation Unit. This unit opened in September 1996 and was the first such unit in the Department of the Army.
