Based on the information gained at the conference, I plan to make the following changes in the work I do in the area of entrepreneurship Text Increase promotion activities leading to additional incubator and accelerator facilities. I plan to promote entrepreneurship more to youth and 4-H workshops since I understand it better now. find more partnership ideas with my local schools to teach entrepreneurship skills More work with younger students to develop entrepreneurship potential Teaching...gave me some new possible program ideas or activities I don't know that I needed an attitude adjustment or convincing to be interested in the topics in the first place - I went because I AM interested in learning and the conference helped For people to consider adding alternative enterprises. Be more involved in the community to see what its needs might be. Continue expanding the reach of our efforts to the region (surrounding states) Continue focusing on our ReVISION process. Also, we need to do more as a school for having kids assess their strengths and interests at a younger age. Talk more about maker-spaces and less about written business plans! Consider how we can work to continue to weave entrepreneurship education into career education standards. Bring more outside speakers into the classroom and have them interact with the students and relate their experiences to them. I will pass along information that could help school districts provide more opportunities for students. I've been reluctant to look into teaching Entrepreneurship and now feel more confident. I plan to encourage students to dream big and if there is something out there that they want to do to give it a chance. Work environment changes - a collaborative work environment that focuses the product not the time n/a I attended as a friend and I are thinking of launching a business. Encourage students to think outside of the box. include in curriculum Teaching- I'd love to run some entrepreneurship classes.

Based on the information gained at the conference, I plan to make the following changes in my community or organizations in which I belong: Text Assist in coordinating e-ship growth by providing additional education training opportunities for all. I hope to help promote local rotary and chamber to invite new businesses to town. n/a Same as above Encourage communities to think globally, but to work locally. Big picture. Reinforce the need to highlight entrepreneurial success stories Continue to reach out to our local business community and organizations to keep them involved in improvement efforts and informed on how they can support students. Talk to local legislators about promoting workforce activity in new ways. N/A I lined up a couple of individuals at the conference to speak at our 4H meeting. None at this time. We are in the process of a revision plan and so this was a big help in making sure we are doing things correctly. Add Entrepreneurship as a potential career academy for students n/a work with business and industry

Did you register for the conference online? Yes No If yes, please provide feedback about your online registration experience: Percent 96.6% % If yes, please provide feedback about your online registration experience: excellent easy good. nice and easy very quick and easy Simple, quick, easy The "ACT" line on the credit card statement caused confusion in accounting - everyone was looking for ACT (test) registration Worked great Easy Worked fine Our curriculum director registered our group. No problems I was not initially charged the conference fee when registering. It was very good. The ability to use a PO makes it easy for educators. Smooth No issues Worked great Quick and easy very easy Seemed easy.

What I most enjoyed about the conference: Text "Hallway" conversations hearing from the young entrepreneurs the governor talking about his family's business experiences, Eric Englemann's way of thinking, hearing the live actual businesses started- like chicken production, refinishing autos/bus, Cody kildgore grocery store. The students speaking about their own businesses Hearing the Big Ideas. All of it...and the networking The fast pitches after lunch. Hearing about the Iowa Startup Accellerator I enjoyed the venue and format of the presentations. They was a variety of sessions to keep us engaged throughout the day. The keynote speaker and how that tied in to the afternoon tour. The quality and diversity of speakers and presenters. Just hearing about the experiences of the entrepreneurs. networking, Big Idea talks Hearing about individual and school Entrepreneurship projects. Learn what is going on in other places.listening to the success stories and knowing that others can do the same. The whole concept of entrepreneurship a chance to hear young entrepreneurs, but also Steve Tippery who is older and starting a business NetworkingCall to actionreal life stories from ns

Workshop that I liked best/gained the most useful information from was: Name of workshop: Why was it the most useful? Percent 100.0% % Name of workshop: Big Idea Talks Big Ideas Building Rural Innovation Ecosystems N/A Brent Comstock The first education track Gallup EP10 Opening Keynote Educational related sessions Success Stories all attended the young man from Auburn Panel of entreprenuers MakerSpaces Why was it the most useful? Heard various ideas and experiences Great examples of different types of entrepreneurship Brent Comstock is amazing! Someon in needs to snatch that guy up! N/A It was helpful to see a high level example of a entrepreneur. Solidified my experience in a community that rallied around workforce development as a whole with schools, biz, gov't, etc. Having a tangible set of my entrepreneurial talents that I can put into action. Fremont is working on creating an accelerator building just like his. Keep positive with students gleaned some good information from all Although he grew up with the message of "you need to leave this town" he figured out a way to launch a tech company in Auburn. it can happen Liked learning about them

What I would like to see happen at the next conference: Text Additional time for attendee one-on-one discussions Have a session or two that can provide ideas for us to take into the after school setting. Include middle school student projects Some ag related topics in the general sessions. Continue to bring in speakers from outside This was a great workshop. I will likely attend in the future. Some booths of school examples (kind of like TA or the School Boards Association). More fluent speakers, maybe more relevant and specific topics More W ideas. Less focus - other states are similar, but was really highlighted to an extreme - policy workshops, ed ops, etc Fewer competing workshops so I don't have to choose between equally compelling topics. Keep it very similar have more involvement from high schools providing entrepreneurial opportunities Invite students to hear. Similar format with more interaction time in between sessions to collect ideas include more seasoned adults on your panel more stories - connections to org that can help

Workshops I would like to attend at the next conference: Text Accelerator examples Developing the mindset of an entrepreneur Entrepreneurship success stories More school presentations on how they are infusing entrepreneurship in their schools. How small community leadership influences new or stronger businesses.ways for communities to connect to each other in cooperative ways. Application techniques for educators. I had to leave before the last session this time due to a schedule conflict. More success stories N/A

Additional Comments: Text Please do not double up with RFI again and their side events. It was pretty much impossible to really take in either venue. Another time and place would have been better. I thought the venue itself was confusing (but nice). Multi-levels. I never did find the refreshments that were available once between sessions. Great workshop and hope to attend again in the future. GREAT opener to Rural Futures! And the value was amazing! Great conference and location. Great opportunity to see Innovation Campus. Pete was an exceptional speaker.
