2 Habitat for Humanity of Omaha Mission Statement Building community through homeownership. In 2013 Habitat for Humanity of Omaha will complete 34 homes. Homes are built with donor contributions, volunteer labor and donated materials. The families who partner with us are required to work 350 hours of Sweat Equity on the homes being built. Their monthly mortgage payments are then used to build more homes. Habitat Omaha builds new houses, and renovates existing homes. These houses are modest and affordable. Most Habitat houses are located in Northeast Omaha neighborhoods east of 42 nd Street. Occasionally we are also able to acquire building lots in Southeast Omaha. Every two years our Washington County Committee builds a house in Blair, Nebraska. From the Habitat for Humanity of Omaha website Page 2

3 Project Overview The creation and hosting of a scalable information system that will support the Primary Data Management Workflow as defined based upon a number of spatial data layers (internal and external) and components for the Habitat for Humanity of Omaha office, which can eventually be expanded to support a number of users outside the Habitat Office. The primary goal of this project is to provide a dynamic, location intelligent, role based solution that will allow Habitat for Humanity s staff to collaboratively build, review, and report upon the key data they collect and monitor.
