7 Achievement is not about who you are nor where you came from. In Benilde, it is about achieving extraordinary feats in your everyday tasks. St. Benilde Romançon grew up in the plains of Thuret, France as an ordinary farm boy. He taught people of all ages and from all walks of life. But most of all he loved teaching children a love that kept him in the classroom for 40 years. 8 Benilde s innovation is fueled by the diversity of our students. What our learners taught us is that traditional education is not for everyone. Benilde traces its origin to the Career Development Program (CDP) of De La Salle University. Under the leadership of Br. 35 Can you inspire change? In Applied Deaf Studies, Deaf individuals are trained to become competent leader-advocates for the Filipino Deaf Community. 36 Our Deaf Learners Preparatory Course (DLPC) is a two-trimester evaluative program which measures your readiness for college before you advance to the Applied Deaf Studies program. 47 Animahenasyon celebrates the Philippine animation industry by showcasing original works of student and professional animators. Since the first Animahenasyon in 2007, Benilde has been participating and winning in the competition. In 2012, Animation alumnus Niko Salazar bagged the Animahenasyon Grand Prize for Marianing, a story of a mysterious man avenging his wife murdered by an aswang.
