7 National HR Standards Are Set Out: (i) to define what a professional working people in HR management and development should understand, explain, critically evaluate and perform effectively. (ii) to assess if the HR professional is operating at support-level standards, practitioner-level standards, or at the senior level of an advanced practitioner standards. (iii) to define HR Standards across the whole spectrum of people management and development taking into account both the generalist and specialist functions.

14 Receptiveness To The Formation of the HR Certification Body It is a resounding YES of 92% of total respondents who agreed to the formation of a Human Resource (HR) Certification Body. Is there a need for HR Certification Body? Profile who answered YES Who are they? YES= 92% NO= 8% Profile who answered NO No 8% TOTAL RESPONDENTS Base =957 Yes 92% Source: Talentcorp % (n = 65) C-Level respondents said YES 88% (n = 217) of Senior Managers said YES 92% (n=602) of HR Professionals said YES Majority of senior HR practitioners welcome this long awaited initiative Highly receptive by respondents from companies with annual turnover of RM5.0 mil & above. 13% (n = 10) C-Level respondents said NO 12% (n = 30) Senior Managers said NO 8% (n=52) HR Professionals said NO Higher tendency of existing holders of other professional certification e.g. Certified Accountants and Legal profession who are currently overseeing HR functions Those who rejects setting up of HRCB via the passing of an Act or part of statutory requirements Those who does not want to be issued a practising license
