1 LABEL CAD/CAM SYSTEM IN NEW WINDOWS INTERFACE The new release 2.00 of Label-Design includes all the functionalites of the last release 1.95 but the new program is strictly structured with a Windows Interface. All the menus and the hierarchical submenus of the old version of the program have been eliminated. The operator is driven in the working sequence by a Window Form named Project Card/Technical Sheet that allows him to go from the Paper Point Design to the Diskette generation in a short time (and in driven way). Such Project Card ( and the relative working sequence) picks up and save : project data, paper point design, paper point design with weaves and ( optionally ), the final CARD in 2 files. NEW FEATURES 1) Standard Windows Menu (with a context sensitive toolbar) to call all the CAD/CAM functionalities. Graphical functions usable on any image opened in the main window (on the left side bar on the screen). New Program Interface

2 2) The window of the program can be easily resized acting on the window borders of the program (the program can be made smaller to use it in the same time with others ). 3) In the same way the user can open 2 or more times the program and then design or see the differences or interact with the different programs.

3 4) The user can use a secondary image bar to put part of the main image or to load images (of any kind, paper point design, images (tif, bmp, jpg,..), weaves, cards ) during any phase of work in order to use them to create the final PPD or any other graphic element. When an element in this bar is pasted in the main element the graphic dimension of the image pasted is recalculated considering the density (if any) of the destination element...

4 5) All the working phases to go from Images (from scanner, photos or Internet) to diskettes/jacquard files are driven by a Project Card that contains all data of work ( Design data, Weaving Data, Loom setup data, textile Parameters ). The Project Card is not is only a data collection Window but contains also functional buttons that allow the generation of the PPD (paper Point Design), PPD Design with Weaves, the final CARD and the final files for the Jacquard Controller. Project Card 6) Possibility to select alternatively all the components of a project with the simple click on specific buttons on the Project Card ( the component called is showed on the screen with the possibility to modify it ). PPD on = Paper Point Design selected and displayed ARM on = Paper Point Design with Weaves selected and displayed CAR on = Final Jacquard Card selected and displayed 7) Possibility to create standard Color to Weave Notes for every typology of fabric with a link between weaves and colors selected from a color palette.

5 8) Possibility to create a file of the quality containing data to define quality of fabric to project. Such data can be imported in a Project Card to speed up the insertion of standard data.. Exemples of the qualità data are the following : threads/cm, weft/cm, height, Length of the fabric, loom setup data, kind of fabric,.

6 PROJECT CARD Follow a short description of the 4 sections inside the Project Card that drive the operator in the creation/managing of a Project. Section 1) Generation of the Paper Point Design (PPD) Section 2) Generation of Paper Point Design with Weaves (PPD with Weaves) Section 3) Data and Handling of the PPD with Weaves Section 4) Generation of the final CARD and files/diskettes for Jacquard Controllers Project Card Section to generate PPD Starting from any image, in the PPD Generation section of the Project Card the operator goes to insert the data to create or modify a PPD. Clicking on the APPLY button, the PPD is generated.

7 Project CARD Section to generate PPD with Weaves Having finished the designing of the PPD, the operator select the Section 2 Generate PPD with Weaves where he goes to insert all the technical data (Weaving note, Warping Note, Weave to color Table, ). Clicking on the PPD Weaves Build button the program generates the PPD with Weaves image and show it (see next figure).

8 Project Card Statistical and Manging Section on PPD with Weaves With sight on the PPD with Weaves generated, the operator may goes on the Fabric Managing Section of the Project Card where all the Production data are showed ( number and percentage of the weft/warp, ) and he can insert data for the computation of the consumptions and costs. In this page each weft/warp can be colored in order to have a color effect for the PPD with Weaves. Project Window Card Section to create final CARD for floppies and Jacquard files Selecting the Section CARD Generation the program produces on the base of the Loom Setup data the final Card file (optionally) and the files for the Electronic controllers / diskettes.
