2 EVENT FORMAT Thursday evening Player arrivals and check-in Friday Qualifying Saturday Match play Sunday Pro-am (at center option) EVENT HISTORY The PWBA will launch in 2015 as a joint venture of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) and the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA). Prize funds will be guaranteed. A core group of professional women bowlers are anticipated to attend and compete. MEDIA EXPOSURE In addition to typical media exposure on websites, in national bowling publications and by local media outlets, competition will be live streamed throughout qualifying, match play and stepladder finals on BowlTV. REQUIRED CENTER SPECIFICATIONS Minimum 24 lanes, 32 preferred Minimum dedicated 5Meg internet upload speed for live streaming Center must be BPAA member in good standing and USBC certified Center must have space available for tournament offices and sufficient secure paddock space Center must have automatic scoring capable of interfacing with real-time online scoring Center to provide sufficient supplemental seating for spectators Center to provide floor manager, two mechanics, front desk personnel and janitorial service for duration of tournament Center to provide a minimum of 10 volunteers per day to assist as assigned Pro Shop must be available one hour before and one hour after competition Allow signage to be displayed both inside and outside of venue Center to waive lineage fees CONSIDERATIONS FOR SELECTION Ability of center to meet minimum specifications Location relative to tour schedule Knowledge and experience of staff Center/City/CVB/Sports Commission sponsorship for the event in the amount of $10,000 Center to retain revenue from food and beverage, gate and pro-am(s). Ticket prices and pro-am entry fees to be approved by PWBA Center may solicit local sponsorship. Sponsorship fees to be distributed 50% to center, 50% to PWBA Center/City to assist with site visit to include housing for up to three persons and transportation upon arrival in city INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONSIDERATION Submit proposal and Tournament Site Questionnaire to Jason Thomas (contact information above) not later than 5 p.m. (Central time) on December 1, Proposals to be ranked and site visits, if required, completed by December 21, 2014 Selected centers to be notified not later than January 9, 2015
