1 July 16, 2015 Attention All Students Attention All Course Instructors Ritsumeikan University Regarding the Arrival of Typhoon #11 Typhoon #11 is expected to arrive make landfall in Western Japan between the night of July 16 (Thurs) and the morning of July 17 (Mon). In the event that your campus issues a storm warning or weather emergency warning, the following will be implemented. In the event that JR train operations are suspended, BKC will receive a separate notification so please follow the instructions that will be provided later. The Graduate School of Management and Graduate School of Technology Management will also receive a separate notification for courses conducted at Osaka Umeda Campus from the administrative office of Inter-Faculty Graduate Schools. 1. Warnings Storm Warning Weather Emergency Warning 2.Times for Class Cancellations If one of the above warnings are NOT issued before 10:00, 12:00, or 15:00, classes will be conducted as usual. In make-up classes, tests (etc.) will not be conducted that will effect grade evaluations. 2 Class Operation when Public Transportation is Suspended Owing to Typhoons or Other Events, or in the event that a Storm Warning or Other Emergency Warning is Issued 7.1 Operation of classes in the event of public transport disruptions In the event of disruptions to public transport services, classes shall be conducted as set forth in Annexure 1. Annexure 1 1. Kinugasa Campus and Suzaku Campus cancelled: In the event of either of the following: 1) If all Kyoto City Bus services are suspended and services have not resumed 16:00, all classes on that day shall be cancelled. 2) If at least three out of the following four public railroad transportation services operating throughout Kyoto City are suspended even if Kyoto City Bus services remain in operation: JR West between Osaka and Kusatsu, Hankyu between Umeda and Kawaramachi, Keihan, and Kintetsu. If two or more of the aforementioned services have not resumed 15:00, all classes on that day shall be cancelled. after public transport services are resumed 1) If at least two out of the four public railroad transportation services (JR West between Osaka and Kusatsu, Hankyu between Umeda and Kawaramachi, Keihan, and Kintetsu) operating throughout Kyoto City are in operation or resume their services, and Kyoto City Bus services also resume, classes shall resume as below dependent on the time that Kyoto City Bus services resume. If services have not resumed 15:00, all classes on that day shall be cancelled.
