Validating a Schedule (Will s Version). For All Projects during the 6 Month Shutdown Document deltas, transmit to proj. lead and Fulvia Project Lead submits schedule with resourcesand logic No Resource provider & proj lead agree on changes? Yes Team of service providers review schedule for: 1. proper and complete process steps 2. proper resource assignments & quantity 3. schedule logic for execution of tasks Input deltas to project lead Yes Are there corrections or enhancements that are needed? Good Enough P f & l i Perform resouce, process step & logic check for each downtime project
Load Leveling (Can start this effort March 3 rd if all changes are implemented in the site wide schedule by the project leads) Load dleveling for the Downtime PMI provides a resource map for each skills type Documentissues and elevate to Fulvia No Resource providers look for peak loading & attempt to optimize w/ existing staffing plan Issue: What is the staffing plan? Any change from current agreements must be vetted with appropriate CAM/APM Can everyone accomodate the changes? Yes Update schedule Does optimization involve moving scheduled task? No Do it! Yes Do changes affect others? No Update schedule Work w/ appropriate project lead to see if it can be accomodated Project lead changes schedule Yes Can deltas be accomodated? No Document the conflict and the staffing disconnect. Transmit to project lead and Fulvia
Hall A Action Items from Meeting Entire list of action items is available in the 6MSD shared folder/website Action Items In Progress/Not completed: Item #5: In Progress: Flesh out septa dump/target installation steps and support (Ed Folts, Chris Keith, Curtis, Gavalya) Update from E. Folts: For my schedule the only updates are an additional man week in mid June in the EEL and an additional man week in July for the surveyors on the target. t Further refinement is not practical until the magnet arrives from Oxford. Item #6: In Progress: Flesh out Compton work (Folts, Nanda, Curtis, Heckman, Wilson) Update from Sirish to Heckman 2/23/11: We plan to do some Compton work during the down. I am going to need your support in venting the line around mid-may and buttoning it up (with baking) in Sept. At present, the e-detector has been removed from the chamber for bench tests. I will need help with reinstalling it. Finally, I could use your help for a couple of days in assembly and leak check of a test t cavity that t we are putting together th in the ARC Compton Lab. We could meet tomorrow or Thursday to go over things.
Hall B & C Action Items from Meeting Entire list of action items is available in the 6MSD shared folder/website Action Items In Progress/Not completed Note: Hall B had NO action items all action items listed are for Hall C Item #1: Completed but major changes in progress: SOS demolition interactions with beam line components and PSS systems. (Kellner, Curtis, Heckman, Garza, Lauze, Mahoney) From Walter: a meeting on Tuesday with Q-weak resulted in major changes on my schedule. Now we can not move the SOS any more during the 6 month down; meaning that it cannot be completely stripped to the shell. I'm also getting more work requests from Q-weak for the down, thus I will have to change my schedule substantially. At this point it looks like we will be devoting preps as much 50% of our time to Q-weak. However, this will not be the end yet, I'm sure there will be more work orders coming. We will shift (change) our 2012 SHMS assembly schedule.
Hall B & C Action Items from Meeting Item #2: In Progress & information sent to Walter to update schedule: Changes of weight distribution in the Hall and its possible effect on alignment. SOS shield hut removal and HKS could both contribute to this. QWeak shielding may also need partial removal if detector surveys are required. Define tolerances of what is of concern to Qweak and when realignment would be necessary. (Kellner, Curtis, Carlini, Smith, Gaskell) From Carlini: This is the estimate of the work received from Chris Curtis to realign/survey the Qweak experiment if we lose the alignment because of floor motion associated with removing the HKS magnet and/or rotating and dismantling heavy parts of the SOS. The experiment is aligned and calibrated (at great consumption of beam time) at the ~200 micron scale. If Qweak alignment is lost because of proposed rigging work in Hall C during the 6 month down the laboratory should be prepared to divert the resources summarized below to realign the experiment prior to the end of the 6 month down so no production running is lost.
Hall B & C Action Items from Meeting Item #3: In Progress: Decision of whether HKS moves or not during the downtime? (Wood, Pilat, Ent, Carlini, Smith) Meeting held 15 Feb pm and included 12GeV Glenn Young and Howard Fenker as HKS removal has impacts to 12GeV Hall C Installation work in the 12month shutdown. Update from F. Pilat from meeting: For the purpose of the resource allocation process we agreed to keep the preparation for SoS removal (removal of ~10% of weight but without moving the SoS itself, that should have no consequences on alignment). For HKS, we keep it in the scope of work for the 6MSD, and in parallel we try to assess the effect on Qweak alignment (see Rolf's below). Nobody wants to have to realign Qweak given the present strain on the alignment group. I will call another meeting next week to follow up on this issue.
Hall B & C Action Items from Meeting Item #4: In Progress being reviewed by Keith and Gaskell, then to Walter for changes: Define extent and schedule for QWeak target work (Keith, Kellner, Curtis, Smith, Welch) G. Smith provided list of Qweak target jobs to C. Keith and awaiting feedback. Most jobs are target jobs, some need survey group and cryo support.
Hall B & C Action Items from Meeting Item #5: In Progress: Define extent and schedule for Compton work (Gaskell, Curtis, Heckman) Dave sent the following to Chris and John to review: awaiting feedback: 1. Laser table We'd like to open up the interaction region early in the down. We have new bellows we'd like to install and significant laser work to do. We expect it would be open for about 4 weeks. At some point while it's "open", it would be nice to have a quick alignment check on some of the mirror holders (maybe a couple hours) work. Finally, we button everything up and have a final alignment (this final alignment can be any time). 2. Electron detector. At the same time we open up the laser table region, we'd like to open up the electron detector area. I think they need about 2 weeks after which we could close it up again. I believe they would also like a survey of the detector - this can be done through the viewport I think. Proposed very "rough schedule" 1. Late May or early June - let up interaction region and electron detector (Vacuum support - 1 day?) 2. Early to late June, preliminary alignment of mirrors on table (S&A, a couple hours). 3. Early July, button up everything in Compton. Bake and pump (Vacuum support) 4. Anytime after mid July - final survey and alignment (S&A 2-3 days). This whole thing could slide later by a month or two also.
PEPPo, FEL, 6GeV Acc Maint/Ops, FML, ESH&Q Action Items from Meeting Entire list of action items is available in the 6MSD shared folder/website Item #1: PEPPo: Insert detailed schedule for PEPPo in the 6month down schedule (Grames, Wilson, Collins).
