This workshop will explore why non-violent men should challenge the sexism and violence of other men and the strategies for engaging them. It will do this through a combination of experiential exercises and a presentation of ideas for discussion. Why attend this workshop? The Duluth Model received the Gold Award for World s Best Policy to Address Violence Against Women and Girls from the World Future Council and UN Women. This is the only workshop on the Duluth Model being held in Australia. As the Executive Director of both organisations she provides leadership to the organisations, organises and leads the Coordinated Community Response. Scott Miller, Trainer Home of the Award Winning Duluth Model Scott Miller has worked for the Domestic Abuse Intervention Programs since Scott coordinates Duluth s Coordinated Community Response to domestic violence which is currently under a demonstration project funded by OVW called the Blueprint for Safety. Serving as both system advocate and coordinator of the men s nonviolence program, he is instrumental in the evolving work being done in Duluth. Scott trains nationally and internationally on the components of the Duluth Model of intervention and helps develop new resource materials and curricula for use in communities working to end violence against women.
