After moving to St. Anne s Retirement Community 10 months ago, my satisfaction in living here has exceeded my expectations. The St. Anne s staff is a truly caring team. It therefore came as no surprise to me when I discovered that St. Anne s Retirement Community was awarded a five star rating (highest rating) by the Center for The Cottages face tree-lined streets creating a wonderful neighborhood atmosphere. Gardeners can enjoy maintaining their own flower beds if they so choose, and pet owners are welcome to bring their furry friends. Options to personalize include appliance and flooring upgrades, and more! Villas The campus of St. Anne s also includes spaciously designed Villas appointed with the latest appliances and comforts. 6 Residential Living Apartments Our apartments are designed to accommodate the varying desires of our Residents by offering a variety of different floor plans. Residents also appreciate maintenance-free living, the cafe, daily activities, and the convenience of daily Rosary, Mass or Sunday interdenominational worship services, and more all under one roof. I love working at St. Anne s because everyone is so friendly. I enjoy meeting the Residents and their families, and being a part of their lives. In addition to utilities and maintenance, monthly apartment rental includes membership at Hempfield Recreation Center for Residents who enjoy fitness classes or swimming. St. Anne s also provides convenient parking, a full schedule of community events, weekly transportation to local grocery shopping centers, pastoral care services, and the security of knowing that, if needed, continuing care and rehabilitation are offered on our campus. 8 My father has flourished at St. Anne s Retirement Community. In Personal Care, he receives daily attention from staff, eats well-balanced meals, has made many friends, and has a refreshed and healthy glow about him. This is wonderful for my father and we can t be happier. He never would have had these opportunities if he had stayed in his house alone. Personal Care Services allow Residents to enjoy life without having to worry about all the details. Services include housekeeping, linen and laundry, meals, social services, activities, and up to two hours of individualized care per day (assistance with medications, etc.). Personal Care Services Residents enjoy the convenience of daily Rosary, Mass or Sunday interdenominational worship services, a full activity schedule, and being part of a close community of friends and neighbors with whom they can share their lives. Furry and feathery friends on the Personal Care floor are a unique feature of St. Anne s. Cats, birds, turtles, and other animals create a pleasant homelike atmosphere, offering comfort and companionship. Residents are also allowed to bring their own small pet to St. Anne s. 10 Nursing Care Services Skilled Care I would like to express the gratitude of my wife and I for the superior care my mother-in-law has received at your community. The consideration that you give the Residents with the daily activities provided, as well as the caring staff who tend to her needs, is commendable. When we visit, the various staff members we encounter are courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable of their specific role(s) in the organization. The interactions we have observed between patients and staff are likewise excellent. J. B. (Family Member) The Health Center features private and semi-private rooms, and a staff focused on Resident privacy, compassionate care and the spiritual values each Resident holds. The Health Center is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Health, and is certified for Medicare and Medicaid. It is staffed by nurses and other healthcare workers who provide 24-hour care for a broad variety of needs. St. Anne s has been recognized for excellence by numerous organizations. Rehabilitation Services St. Anne s Retirement Community offers on-site solutions for your physical, occupational, and speech therapy needs. Our experienced, full-time therapy team will work with each individual to help them meet and exceed their goals. Restorative Nursing Services St. Anne s Retirement Community has an active program of Restorative Nursing which is developed and coordinated through the Resident s care plan. Once a Resident has met his/her goals in skilled rehab or plateau with improvement, a Licensed Therapist will discontinue skilled Rehabilitative Services and initiate a Restorative Program. Our program is designed to assist Residents achieve and maintain their highest practicable level of physical function.

12 The Pastoral Care Department consists of two full-time chaplains, a resident priest and several volunteers. Together, they offer spiritual care through one-on-one visits and a variety of religious programs. Pastoral Care As fine as the leisure living is here at St. Anne s, perhaps the greatest benefit is the privilege of getting together with the community at St. Anne s to participate in daily Mass and prayer. All Residents have the golden Founded in 1928 by the order of nuns, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, St. Anne s deeply treasures its Catholic sponsorship, identity and heritage. Yet we revere and respect God s presence in all people (approximately half of our Residents are non-catholic). In addition to Rosary and daily Mass, the Pastoral Care Department also welcomes Protestant pastors from the surrounding community to preside at interdenominational Worship Services every Sunday afternoon. The result is a warm bond of Christian fellowship that bears witness to St. Paul s reminder in his letter to the Ephesians that we are called to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace...one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Also, because of the smaller sized community, you get to know your neighbors and the staff on a first name basis. T.M. Whether you enjoy staying in to discuss current events, knitting a scarf, or trying your luck at bingo, or, if you like to venture out to Hollywood Casino, a pleasant dinner, volunteering for other non-profit organizations, or have an appreciation for the arts, there will be something for you! Each level of living has its own activity leader; interest and ability of all Residents are considered so that everyone can have a more fulfilling experience at St. Anne s. Large Scale Events Each year, St. Anne s Retirement Community hosts its Fall Fling Benefit dinner, Summer Block Party, Easter and Thanksgiving Dinner celebrations, Staff Talent Show, Halloween costume contest and more.
