2 McLennan Community College Radiologic Technology Program Program Effectiveness Data Program Completion Rate Program completion rate is calculated by dividing the number of students who complete the program within the cohort by the number who enrolled in the cohort initially and subsequently. Students who leave or do not graduate on time for any reason, such as medical leave, personal choice, or course failure, are considered as not completing the program with the original cohort. Graduation Year Completion Rate Number of Students % Cohort of 31 students. 28 students completed program % Cohort of 33 students. 26 completed program. 3 withdrew to pursue other degree options. 2 withdrew due to personal reasons. 1 failed coursework. 1 was removed for disciplinary reason % Cohort of 33 students. 25 completed program. 2 students failed coursework. 2 students withdrew to pursue other degree options. 3 students withdrew due to personal reasons. 1 student transferred to another radiography program % Cohort of 33 students. 28 completed program. 4 students failed coursework. 1 student was removed for disciplinary reasons % Cohort of 35 students. 31 completed the program. 4 students failed coursework. 1 student withdrew from program. 1 student returned to complete program. 5 Year Average 83.66%
3 Credentialing Examination Pass Rate Graduates of the Radiologic Technology program at McLennan Community College are eligible to apply and sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography Exam. Credentialing examination pass rate is defined by the JRCERT as the number of student graduates who pass, on first attempt, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination or an unrestricted state licensing examination compared with the number of graduates who take the examination within six months of graduation. Graduation Year Percent Passing on 1 st Number of Students Attempt % 26 of 28 graduates passed on % 24 of 26 graduates passed on % 22 of 25 graduates passed on % 25 of 28 graduates passed on % 28 of 31 graduates passed on 5 Year Average 90.54%
4 Five Year Average Job Placement Rate Job placement rate is defined as the number of graduates employed in the radiologic sciences compared to the number of graduates actively seeking employment in the radiologic sciences. The JRCERT has defined not actively seeking employment as: 1) graduate fails to communicate with program officials regarding employment status after multiple attempts, 2) graduate is unwilling to seek employment that requires relocation, 3) graduate is unwilling to accept employment due to salary or hours, 4) graduate is on active military duty, and/or 5) graduate is continuing education. Graduation Year Job Placement Rate Number of Students % 25 of 28 graduates actively % 19 of 21 graduates actively 2 students were not seeking employment in the field. 1 student enrolled in Radiation Therapy school 1 student did not respond to repeated attempts for information % 22 of 23 graduates actively % 26 of 26 graduates actively seeking employment have been employed as of September 30, % 30 of 32 graduates actively seeking employment have been employed as of August 31, Year Average 93.84%
