1 OpenScape Web Collaboration for Microsoft Windows OS Starting a Web Conference How to start a conference is described in the manual of the client used. Logging on to a Web Conference To log on to a started web conference you need the information you received prior to the web conference e. g. by . How to log on to a web conference using this information: Click on the link you have received. The client is downloaded from the server. Start the client. You are logged on to the web Logging out of a Web Conference How to log out of a web conference: Click on in the sidebar. The dialog for logging out opens. Click on Close. You are logged out of the web Changing the Viewing Direction If you are moderator, you can toggle the view direction: The viewer becomes presenter and vice versa. Toggling the Zoom Mode If you are viewer or presenter, you can toggle between total view and a section of the view: As presenter you thus toggle the view for all viewers. Important Information All client settings as well as the documents in the fileboard are completely deleted at the end of the conference! Changing the Screen Transmission Quality If you are presenter, you can select the screen transmission quality: Select the desired transmission quality. Your screen is now transmitted in the selected quality. Interrupting the remote Control If you are presenter and a viewer may remotecontrol your desktop, you can interrupt the remote control anytime: The remote control of the viewer is interrupted.

You can operate the whiteboard with the following features. Icons of the Whiteboard feature: Open a new whiteboard* Reset the drawing area* Clear the drawing area* Save the drawing area contents Undo Leave the whiteboard* Pencil Marker Draw a line Draw a rectangle Draw an ellipse Draw a filled-in rectangle Write a text Insert an image Eraser Select a color Special Features If you are moderator, you can test the connection performance: Select your desired settings. Click on Start test. The test results are displayed in the Viewer window. If you are viewer of a screen presented to you, you can send hotkeys with the special features. Select one of the special features such as starting the task manager. The task manager can be useful for troubleshooting. Recording a Web Conference As user who takes part in a web conference you can record the conference: The shortcut bar features. Click on once again. The video player opens and you can view your session recording. Managing a Web Conference As moderator you can manage a web conference as follows: Open the Session menu item in the sidebar. The moderator can change the password in the associated text field anytime. The moderator can lock a web conference by clicking On and Off. * this feature is only available to the moderator

3 OpenScape Web Collaboration for Microsoft Windows OS Sharing the Desktop If you are moderator, you can configure desktop sharing: Open the Participants menu item in the sidebar. Select a presenter. Select a participant who shall remotecontrol the presenter's desktop. The selected participant receives a request he/ she needs to confirm for presenting his/her screen. The presenter receives a request too. He/she needs to confirm it for having his/her desktop remote-controlled. Selecting Applications for Transmission As presenter, you can select started applications for transmission: Open the Application filter menu item. Activate the applications by ticking off the respective check boxes. Disable the applications by clearing the respective check boxes. Chat Feature How to send messages to other participants: Open the Chat menu item in the sidebar. Enter your text in the lowest line. Press the Enter key on your keyboard to send the text. Using the Fileboard How to open the fileboard: Open the Fileboard menu item in the sidebar. Click on Upload to select a file that you want to make available to the participants. Click on Download for downloading a file. Managing Privileges Using the Drag&Drop method on the participants tab in the sidebar you can move participants among the categories Moderator, Active and Passive clients. This lets you grant privileges for Chat, Video, Fileboard Upload and Whiteboard. Viewing Web Conference Participants How to see the other web conference participants: Open the Video menu item in the sidebar. The respective participant name is displayed under the image/video. Configuring your own Image/Video How to configure your own image/video: Open the My Video menu item in the sidebar. Select an image or a webcam. When you click On, your video is transmitted. You see your own webcam video or your selected image. Selecting a Monitor for Transmission If you are presenter and have connected several monitors, you can select one of them for transmission. Open the Monitor menu item in the sidebar. Click on the monitor you wish to transmit.

Removing a File Click on next to the file you wish to remove. The file is immediately removed from the fileboard. Aborting a File Upload Upload a file. Click on next to the file you upload. Uploading stops and the file is immediately removed from the fileboard.

7 OpenScape Web Collaboration for iphone Installing the iphone App Connect the App Store via your ios mobile device. Enter the search item "OpenScape Web" in the App Store. Tab on the Search button. Tab on the Free button. Tab on the Install button. The OpenScape Web App is displayed on the home screen of your ios mobile device. Configuring the iphone App Open the Settings menu on your ios mobile device. Tab on the OpenScape entry. The settings dialog opens. Tab under License information on the following input fields in succession: - License number: Enter your license number. - Username: Enter your user name. - Password: Enter your password. Communication (configure for stand-alone server only): - - Specify under Server the FQDN of your Web Collaboration server. Select under Video the video options: - Start immediately: Video is immediately started along with the web - Taking Part in a Web Conference Start the OpenScape App on your mobile device. Tab on the Join session entry. Enter the session number the moderator has given you. Tab on Connect. You see the presenter's screen if it has already been selected. - Video Size: Select the video quality in two levels.
