6 Click finish and Filezilla will open. (To open this program later, go to your Start Menu under All Programs one of the options will be Filezilla FTP Client). Once the program opens, choose from the menu File and Site Manager. On the left side, under Select Entry, click on New Site. Click on Rename and type EDU SFTP. 7 On the right side, enter in the Host box and 22 for the Port. Select SFTP SSH File Transfer Protocol for Protocol. Select Normal for the Logon Type. 8 To transfer files to the DOE (Upload) or from the DOE (download) Local Site(Left Side of the Screen): Drives and folders on your computer. Filename: Files that are in the selected local site. Remote Site (Right side of the Screen): Folders available to you from the DOE. Filename: Files that are in the selected folder. To transfer files, click on the file to be transferred, drag and drop it in the desired location. Example: To transfer The EdCensus database from the DOE. Click on The EdCensus_SU003.mdb file that is located under Filename on the right side of the screen. Drag the file over to the left side of the screen to transfer to a folder under Filename in the Local Site. To transfer files, click on the file to be transferred, drag and drop it in the desired location. Example: To transfer The EdCensus database from the DOE. Click on The EdCensus_SU003.

9 Window Logs (1) (2) To verify that your download(transfer) was successful or if there was an issue, you can check the Connection Log Window(1) or the Transfer Window(2).The Connection LogWindow is at the top of the page. If your transfer was successful it will show a Status: File transfer successful,.if your transfer was not successful you will receive an Error in red in the Status Window. The Transfer Window is at the bottom of the page. There are three tabs; Queued files, Failed transfers and Successful transfer.if the transfer was successful, it will appear on the Successful transfers tab.to view the information, you can click on the Successful transfers tab. if your transfer was not successful you will receive an Error in red in the Status Window. The Transfer Window is at the bottom of the page.
