3 The Pan European ecall Triggered automatically by the in vehicle device incase of serious accident or manually by vehicle occupants. Builds on the single European Emergency number (112 and E112). Creates a voice link to the closest PSAP and sends data message (Minimum Set of Data, MSD) using common European standards. MSD includes: Time stamp. Accurate location (GNSS) and direction of driving. Vehicle identification. Information about the accident. 3

5 Harmonized ecall European Pilot HeERO includes nine national Pilots in the following EU Member and Associated States: Croatia Czech Republic Finland Germany Greece Italy Netherlands Romania Swiden HeERO also includes a multi country pilot, involving all nine countries and addressing the interoperabilty of the service across the Europe, and an international pilot involving three EU and associated countries with Russia ERA GLONASS system. 5
