22 UAS General flying rules in UK - If flying for commercial purposes You need to be trained We will do that Your company must have a flight operations manual filed at the CAA We will help you put that together You need to have a BNUC-S certificate for UASs. Written and practical test. Two day course run by EuroUSC + half day practical. The UAS and manufacturer must be accredited OR A specific plane by serial number can be attached to a personal certification / operations manual.

23 Gatewing Certification in the UK The Gatewing X-100 is accredited (LUASS Manufacturer Accreditation) (as far as I know) currently the only UAS accredited manufacturer. If you are certified to fly a Gatewing X- 100, you can fly any X-100. If you fly a plane from an non accredited manufacturer, restrictions apply; for example: You need to include the specific plane with serial number on your own certificate/ops manual.

24 How far can I fly? The Gatewing X-100 is certified for Extended VLOS Extended Visual Line Of Sight Upto 750m from the pilot and upto 500 ht. Allowed because of built in safety features (as far as I know) it s the only one allowed to do this. Most UAV s must fly using Visual Line Of Sight (VLOS) Upto 500m from observer, and 400 height

All subject to risk assessment of the pilot) Seek permission from the owner: for take off and landing Can t fly over, or too close to an airfield. Special conditions if in controlled airspace Contact the local airport control when you fly
