2 SEARCH You can find our Online Catalogue on our homepage Here you can search the books we have in stock.. Click on the Link Web OPAC and account on the right side of our homepage. You are forwarded to the main page of our online catalogue. 2/23

3 Type in your search term and click on the button Suchen (= search). You will get a result list. Choose a book and click on the title. 3/23

4 You receive more information about the book. Click on the Link Detailanzeige (=details) to find the book on our shelves. You can find the shelf mark, below the term Aufstellung. Important: The code DUK means, that the book is in the library of the Danube University Krems. Write down the letters and number-combination behind this code. 4/23

5 The book is borrowed when there is a date in the field Entlehnt bis (= borrowed until). If you click on the link Vormerken (= reserve), you can reserve the book. (Behold the point Account management ) Books with the Standort (= Location) Lesesaal and the Status Nicht entlehnb. can only be used within the library. 5/23

6 Books with the Standort (= Location) Handapparat are located in the office of an university staff member. If you need one of these books please ask a librarian to order the book for you. Books with the Standort (= Location) Magazin are in our storage. Please ask a librarian if you need one of these books. 6/23

7 In the category Erweiterte Suche (= advanced search) you have the possibility to refine your search results. 7/23

8 You can make a list of the books, which interest you. Click on the link In den Korb (= Into the basket). You can add a note to the book. 8/23

9 If you click on the link Korb (= basket), you will get the whole list of your selected search results. ATTENTION: The books on this list are not reserved or borrowed for you. This is only a temporary list. It will not be saved and will be deleted after your search session. 9/23

10 If you want to save the list, you have mark the title. Click on the link Downloaden Now you can choose if you want to save the list on your PC or if you want to send it per . 10/23

11 MASTER THESIS-SEARCH Type in a course name or a topic of interest and the code master* (e.g. migration master*). Click on the link Suchen. You will get a list with all theses, which are in stock of the library. 11/23

12 Master theses with a TXT-field are available online. To download the thesis click on the link Volltext (= fulltext). 12/23

13 Results without TXT-field are only available in print. Click on the title of the thesis and then on the link Detailanzeige (= details) 13/23

14 You can find the number of the thesis below the point Aufstellung. Important: The code DUK means, that the master thesis is in the library of the Danube University Krems. Master thesis with the status gesperrt (= inaccessible) are not possible to borrow. 14/23

15 ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT If you want to login in your library account click on the link Mein Konto (= account) in our online catalogue. Login with your library data. 15/23

16 Now you are on the main page of your library account. Below the point Aktivitäten (= activities) you can see the books you have borrowed and which you have reserved. 16/23

17 You can see your personal data below your account activities. Please note that we need your current address, because our system sends information about your account automatically to you. Reservation If you want to reserve a borrowed book, search the book in our online catalogue (Behold the point Research ) and click on the link Detailanzeige. Click now on the link Vormerken (= reserve). 17/23

18 Login with your library data. Click on the Button Absenden (= send) and then on the button OK 18/23

19 Now you can see your reservation on the main page of your account. Click on the blue number behind the point Vormerkungen. Below the point Vorm.Status you can see if the book has arrived in the library. Has the status changed from In Bearbeitung (= in process) to Bereitgestellt (= provided) then the book is available for you. You will get an autogenerated that the book is available for you. It will be reserved for you for 3 days. 19/23

20 For more information about your reservation, click on the blue number on the left side of the book. Below the point Ihr Platz auf der Warteliste (=waiting list ranking)you can see how long the book is borrowed and your position in the ranking of the reservations. If you don t need the book anymore click on the button löschen (= delete). 20/23

21 Afterwards you will get the confirmation that the reservation was deleted. Extension To prolong a book click on the blue number beside the category Ausleihen. 21/23

22 You will get a list with the books you have borrowed. Click on the link Alle (= all) or mark the book you want to prolong and click on the link Ausgewählte (=selected). You receive a confirmation with the new date of return. 22/23
