Responsibilities: This highly administrative management position serves as the chief academic officer and Designated School Official (DSO) at an assigned campus and is responsible for its academic quality; responsible for hiring and start-up of academic affairs for a new campus. The Campus Dean works to maintain an academic atmosphere conducive to both staffing and learning. The Dean is responsible for ensuring and assessing student learning, improving graduation rates, timely scheduling and staffing of courses every quarter, resolving faculty and student concerns, and teaching. Worked closely with the Vice Dean in the development of new programs, and assisted in her role as Special Advisor to the President. Director of Student Support Services (SSS) and TRIO Programs Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College OC Tech, located in Orangeburg, SC is an associate degree-awarding two-year public institution with an enrollment of 3,300 students. 3

4 Under the leadership of the Vice President for Student Affairs, managed and evaluated the department for SSS. Responsible for academic support, career development, counseling, two-four year college transfer, tutoring, and mentoring. Chair of the Orangeburg-Calhoun college retention team: Responsible for increasing counseling, tutorial, academic support for first generation, low income, and students with disabilities. Designed and developed policies and wrote student support grants and performance reports for submission to U.S Department of Education. Responsible for a budget of $500,000 and supervision of 16 staff. Recruitment Coordinator Midlands Technical College MTC is located in Columbia, S.C and is an associate degree-awarding two-year public institution with an enrollment of 30,000 students. Provided and implemented a comprehensive recruiting and marketing plans targeted toward high school students, parents, guidance counselors, high school administrators, local employers, and community organizations. Developed recruitment, marketing, and educational campaign for referral sources to enhance enrollment in low enrollment program areas. Requested as speaker at various events. Alternative After- School Program Manager Richland School District One Southeast Middle Alternative School Southeast Middle School is located in Hopkins, S.C (Public K-12 Education) Prepared and coordinated educational programs for students who had been expelled from school. Supervised 8 instructors, assigned teaching activities, executed payroll, and was responsible for a budget of $100,000. Consulted with hearing officers and made recommendations for behavioral intervention plans. Developed and implemented individual counseling sessions, to assist in resolving conflict, adjusting to like and making changes.
