Data Charges A customer s data usage is limited to /month when roaming on another carrier s network. SaskTel will endeavor to notify Customers when they are approaching the monthly limit. 13 Canadian Roaming continued BILLING Since each situation is unique, we recommend you contact the Customer Relationship Centre at SASKTEL ( ) before you travel to find out the most cost-effective way to use your device while travelling. You could: Switch to a long distance wireless voice plan for the time you are travelling. SaskTel has Canadian and North American long distance plans that include long distance and airtime Add a long distance package to your current wireless voice service plan for lower long distance rates. There is no charge to switch We rely on other wireless carriers to provide us with the details of the calls you make outside the province, therefore billing may be delayed. Charges for calls made outside of the province are calculated based on the rate plan and minutes available at the time the call information is received from the wireless carrier that manages the roaming area. U.S. Roaming WHAT YOU NEED A SASKTEL DEVICE Any Postpaid device should work. COST CALLING Airtime Charges When you are travelling anywhere in the United States, calls made to or received from a Canadian or United States landline or wireless device are 95 per minute. If you are on a North America plan, the charge is based on the plan details. With no additional charges for U.S. taxes or daily surcharges, you will always know what to expect on your bill. You only pay for U.S. roaming minutes that you use. These minutes are billed according to the calling plan you are on. Voice Mail Retrieving messages from your device while roaming in the U.S. will be billed depending on the rate plan subscribed to as follows: If you are on a calling plan that includes airtime only (e.g. Unlimited Talk plan), you will be billed 95 per minute when retrieving messages U.S. Roaming continued If you are on a calling plan that includes airtime and long distance (e.g. Unlimited Talk North America plan), you will be billed based on the overage rate per minute for that particular plan Data Roaming rates specific to your plan apply, however data usage is not deducted from the data included in your plan. 1. SIM CARD A SIM Card that is activated with International Roaming. This is a one-time $30 charge. We will replace faulty SIM cards at no charge, but not lost or damaged SIM cards. INTERNATIONAL ROAMING / OVERSEAS DIALING Activated on your account a one-time $15 charge. A credit check is required to activate this service. POST-PAID WIRELESS CALLING PLAN If you want to make and receive voice calls while roaming internationally. SMARTPHONE OR BLACKBERRY PLAN OR MOBILE BROWSER SERVICE If you want to use your device to send and receive files, s, or use the internet while roaming internationally.
