3 Summary: The Future Residents of Obstetrics & Gynecology (F.R.O.G.s) is an organization created to bring medical students and young physicians together through mentorship, service and education. First, the F.R.O.G.s organization pairs together medical students and young physicians (resident physicians, subspecialty fellows, and junior fellows in practice) for successful mentor/mentee relationships for advice and comradery, specifically from an individual who has recently conquered that chapter in their life. Second, serving their community together, medical students and young physicians will give back to those in need and learn about oneself in the process. Last, together the participants will learn from each other helpful skills including surgical skills, CV writing, and survival skills in medical school, residency, and life. These efforts will take place at each F.R.O.G.s chapter and at each ACOG District XI annual district meeting. Through this organization, the participants will develop relationships with each other both in and out of the hospital setting that will make for a better learning experience for all in the wards of Obstetrics & Gynecology and thereby enhancing medical students experiences and attitudes towards the field of Ob-Gyn. Thus, the goal of these efforts is help to facilitate recruitment of bright and enthusiastic individuals to the field of obstetrics and gynecology, leading to continued improvements in our field and better healthcare for women. Through serial surveys and questionnaires to both the medical students and young physicians, we will be able to measure the effects of our efforts and see if indeed we have had an impact on the future of the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Although the evaluation of these efforts is ongoing, both the founding chapter at UTSW and introduction at the district level at the ACOG District XI interim meeting, has showed promising results from the feedback received thus far. Medical students and young physicians are excited to be members of a professional organization that promotes social interaction between individuals with a common interest and aims to serve the community they are so dedicated to improving through heath care. Ninety six percent of medical students surveyed at the District XI Annual District Meeting reported that these efforts increased their interest in the field of Ob-Gyn.
