6 terms and conditions décor and amenities Zapatista gladly provides a choice of décor for your special occasion. We will coordinate details for flowers, colored linens and specialty equipment with outside vendors upon request. parking Valet Parking available at the front door at current rates. You may elect to bill the valet parking expense to your final bill. smoking Smoking strictly prohibited. liability Zapatista assumes no responsibility for personal property and equipment brought into the restaurant. gratuity and taxes A gratuity of 20% (of food & beverage expenditure) will be assessed to your special event. Applicable state and local taxes will also be added. Tax-exempt organizations must provide an official letter of exemption. Miscellaneous Fees: We request that guests obtain approval before bringing in any outside food or beverage. We assess a corkage fee of $25.00 per bottle for all wines brought into the restaurant. We also assess a $2.00 per person service fee for cakes brought into the restaurant. guarantee Final confirmation or guarantee of the number of guests required three (3) business days prior to the function. The number given at this time will become the minimum guarantee. In the event that fewer guests attend on the day of your function, we assess charges based on this guaranteed number. In the event that more guests attend on the day of your function, the number of guests attending determines the amount charged. cancellations Deposits fully refundable up to 21 days prior to the function. Cancellations within 21 days of the event result in the forfeiture of the deposit and/or a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the stated food and beverage minimum. room minimums Zapatista does not automatically assess a room fee. Instead, we have established a minimum food and beverage amount per event. Not reaching these minimums results in a room fee charge. Taxes and gratuities do not count towards the food and beverage minimum. deposits In order for a contract to be binding, a deposit is required prior to the contract signing. Deposits accepted in person or by filling out the credit card authorization form and returning it via fax. The deposit amount is 25% of the stated food and beverage minimum for the specified room. Rooms will not be held or confirmed until a deposit is received. final payment Final payment due in full at the conclusion of the event. Cash and major credit cards accepted.
