1 Participant Information Thank you for your interest in the For My Father's charity run. This information sheet includes all the information you need to make this event a success. For Starters This packet includes an information sheet, personal information form, sponsorship form, donor information, and a race entry form. I also will be giving out money envelopes that you will need to turn in along with the donations you receive. The entry fee for the race($18) and the race entry form are due June 14th. Please pay cash for the entry fee. The team shirt fee($5) and personal information form are due as soon as possible, you do not need to pay this fee if you already have our team shirt. What are we raising money for? The majority of money raised will go directly to the American Cancer Society. We will be presenting a large check during the awards ceremony to an official of the American Cancer Society. A small portion of donations will go to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research center in Seattle, Washington and the remaining funds will be saved in preparation for For My Father becoming a full non-profit organization, later this year. How do I get donations? Tell your friends, family, and colleagues that you are doing a 3 mile run/or 2 walk to raise money for cancer research and that you would love a small donation for the cause. You have them fill out a line on the sponsorship form and you collect cash or a check payable to Andrew Hayward. You also need to give them the donor information form that thanks them for their donation. After all donations are collected, count everything up and place the total donation amount on the outside of the money envelope leaving the filled out sponsorship forms inside. You need to to turn the majority of donations by race day to facilitate getting the American Cancer Society their portion of donations. Can someone donate by credit card? Yes, if you direct them to and have them click on Donate Now. They will be taken to the online donation site. *Note. All online donations will go directly to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center because there is no way to separate them to give to ACS. Do I have to run? You do not have to run, there is a 2 mile walk that is also available. What about my kids? There will be a Kid Fun Zone at the race that will have keep the kids occupied. There also will be plenty of snacks and prize drawings later in the day. What should I wear? Wear clothes that you are comfortable exercising in. You will need to wear the For My Father team shirt on race day. Is there anything else that I should bring to the race? We are asking people to bring photos of loved ones that have battled cancer and survived or those who lost theirs lives to it. THese people are the reason why we are doing such a run and we are going to

2 honor them. We will need them for pictures that are going to be taken after the race. Do I have to drive?
