1 Bulletin Introduction The International Conference on Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP) is a major series of international conferences for physicists and computing professionals from the high energy and nuclear physics community, computer science, and information technology. The CHEP provides an international forum to exchange the experiences and needs of the community, and to review recent, ongoing, and future activities. CHEP 2010 is organized by Academia Sinica Grid Computing Centre. There is an International Advisory Committee (IAC) setting the overall themes of the conference, a Programme Committee (PC) responsible for the content, as well as Conference Secretariat responsible for the conference infrastructure. Dates and Venue CHEP 2010 will be held at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan on October Academia Sinica is located in the suburb area of Taipei City. Academia Sinica, one of the leading research institutes in Taiwan, is a place where ideas are embraced and cherished, exploration and research are openly fostered and new knowledge is cultivated and developed for the benefit of society. Further information could be found at Important Dates Abstract submission deadline: 30 April 2010 Notification of acceptance: 17 June 2010 Registration History CHEP conferences are held at roughly 18 month intervals, alternating between Europe, Asia, America and other parts of the world. Recent CHEP conferences have been held in Prauge, Czech Republic (2009); Victoria, Canada (2007); Mumbai, India (2006); Interlaken, Switzerland (2004); San Diego, California (2003); Beijing, China (2001); Padova, Italy (2000); Chicago, Illinois (1998); Berlin, Germany (1997); Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (1995); San Francisco, California (1994); Annecy, France (1992); Tsukuba, Japan (1991); Santa Fe, New Mexico (1990); Oxford, England (1989); Asilomar, California (1987); Amsterdam, Netherlands (1985). Online registration will start in June The fee for early registration will be US$ 400. The registration fee after 31 August will be US$450. The registration fee includes Conference Kit, coffee breaks, lunches, Welcome Reception and Banquet.

2 Call for Abstracts ( You are invited to submit an abstract of a maximum of 250 words, which will be reviewed by the Programme Committee to select contributions for oral or poster presentations. Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is 30 April Decisions on the acceptance of contributions for oral or poster presentations will be made on 17 June In the abstract submission form, you must indicate the track in which you wish the contribution to be placed. The list of programme tracks and the scope of topics to be covered are as follows: Major Functional Areas I. 5 Social Programme A Welcome Reception will take place on 18 October 2010 and Banquet on 21 October Entry to both will be included in the conference registration fee. Extra tickets will be available for purchase for accompanying partners. On the Wednesday afternoon, 20 October 2010, sessions will not be held. Delegates will be offered a selection of tours.
