2 Single Agent LogicMonitor requires only one agent (Windows or Linux) installed on a single system on your network to monitor any number of systems on your network. It is also flexible; you have the option of installing additional agents on multiple systems to create redundancy in data collection and spread the load. LogicMonitor securely operates behind your firewall - only outgoing port 443 (HTTPS) is needed for data collection to occur.

14 Why we chose LogicMonitor In our testing we found the following weaknesses in other monitoring packages. The setup is too complex and time consuming which made it unlikely that customers would continue to add devices as their network changed and grew. Invasive add-on software required to be installed on every device monitored, not just one agent on the network using the built-in tools in each monitored system. Did either monitoring or measurement but not both, or if it did both they were not, both, done well.
