1 Media Release 22 January 2004 Cultivated wealth advisory services from Schwyzer Kantonalbank dai develops CI and designs interior of Client Center in Pfäffikon, Canton Schwyz Naturalness, durability, simplicity. Guided by these key terms of reference, the team at dai (design, architecture, identification) headed up by the agency s founder Florin Baeriswyl developed a corporate identity for the new SZKB Asset Management department at Schwyzer Kantonalbank. To give the bank s service offering and brand a tangible presence, dai prepared a comprehensive concept which in all its elements reflects the aspects of individual client service provided by the bank. dai also put this concept into practice for the interior design of the new SZKB Asset Management Client Center in Pfäffikon, Canton Schwyz. In January, Schwyzer Kantonalbank hived off its asset management activities into a separate department. The new brand and the new Client Center needed a new visual identity. dai developed the name, the logo, the corporate identity and the interior design, along with the advertising campaign for print and online media. A fully rounded identity, displaying a uniform quality in all its elements, was created by a single source. A service and brand to experience A wealth advisory service is not a tangible object. The challenge facing dai was to inject the bank s philosophy and products with attributes that can be experienced as part of its corporate identity and its business premises. The remit was to create a visual identity and architecture that fosters personal contact between relationship manager and client in a relaxed atmosphere. Cohesive basic values for corporate design Florin Baeriswyl analyzed the requirements and values to be transposed into the visual presence. dai defined naturalness, durability and performance as the three key factors, supplemented by an individual client service. The name, the logo, the stationery and the advertising campaign for the new brand all embody these underlying values.

2 A world of experience in investment advisory services The new visual identity was translated into a spatial experience at the Client Center in Pfäffikon: when designing the colour schemes for the rooms, the team took their points of reference from the building s surroundings. The lake and its shores inspired the subdued, calm watery, reedy and earthy hues. The reds were derived from the Schwyzer Kantonalbank logo. The generously proportioned entrance zone serves as a representative client reception area and can also be used as an event venue. The characteristic openness and transparency of the core zone underscore the spaciousness of the interior design. In each of the five consulting rooms, a recess houses the infrastructure for beverages and equipment, using a simple, functional design to create scope for the actual purpose of the rooms individual consultancy. Art as projection area Art, as an integral function of the interior design, was accorded a central role from the very outset. Swiss-Hungarian artist Annelies Strba was commissioned to create images for the backs of the recesses that jut out into the ante areas of the consultancy rooms. Large backlit video stills in expressive colours portray the world s financial centres, the way in which they are staggered throughout the room determining its dominant theme. The individualized relationship with the client is thus also a constituent element of the artistic concept.
