2 ANDHRA PRADESH PRIVATE MEDICAL & DENTAL COLLEGES MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION VIJAYAWADA REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION INTO B-CATEGORY (MCET- AC ranking based management seats) SEATS IN MBBS & BDS COURSES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR The following are the Regulations for admission of students into B category MBBS and BDS Courses in Private Medical and Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh for the year The candidates shall appear and qualify in the MCET-AC 2015 exam. 3. The Rank in MCET- AC 2015 shall be the basis for the selection into MBBS and BDS Courses subject to these regulations. 4. THE LIST OF MEDICAL & DENTAL COLLEGES: The List of the Medical and Dental colleges as in web site of apmedco.com The admissions into the colleges are subject to the permission by the Government of India / Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India and affiliation to the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences for the academic year ELIGIBILITY: (i) Educational Qualifications: As per medical council of India /Dental council of india / Dr NTR University of Health Sciences. (ii) Candidates should have qualified at MCET-AC-2015 and shall secure not less than 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Bio-technology are eligible for admission into MBBS and BDS courses and they fulfill other relevant conditions laid down in these regulations as per Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India guide lines NOTE : (i) Candidates possessing qualification of the University / Board of an institution outside the AP State should submit a Eligibility / Equivalence certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh. (ii) Candidates possessing qualification of the University / Board of an institution outside INDIA should submit a Eligibility / Equivalence certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi and Eligibility / Equivalence certificate issued from the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh. 2

3 (iii) Age: Minimum age: Should have completed the age of 17 years by 31 st December, NOTE: 1. A person born on 1 st January of a year will complete one year on 31 st December of the same year. 2. Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the Secondary School Certificate examination or equivalent examination. 3. No request for relaxation of age of a candidate shall be entertained. 4. Candidates born on or after are not eligible for admission in to MBBS and BDS courses. 6. MCET-AC: Online application form: The online application form is available at The candidates shall fill the on line application form. The Registration fee for the MCET-AC is Rs.1,800/- (Rupees Eighteen Hundred only). The fee can be paid by credit card or debit card or by net banking. The candidates are advised to take a printout of the filled in application form after completion of the application form and to note down the application number. i. Computer Based (Online) MCET-AC will be conducted for admission into the MBBS and BDS Courses as per G.O.Ms.No.33 HM & FW Dept. Dated of Govt. of AP. ii. The Computer Based (Online) MCET-AC will be conducted on from 2.30 P.M to 5.30 P.M at the centres notified. (Reporting time at Test Center allotted is at 1.30 P.M sharp and candidates will not be allowed into the test centre after 1.45 PM The Examination process will be commenced by 2.00 PM sharp) iii. iv. The duration of Examination is 3 hrs (180 minutes). Pattern of Question Paper and Evaluation: a. Question paper is of MCQ pattern. Candidate has to choose single most appropriate answer from four options provided. b. The question Paper will be in English and Telugu c. Each correct response shall be awarded one mark. d. There is no negative mark for incorrect response. e. No mark will be given for the question not answered. f. Minimum marks required to qualify in the entrance test shall be 50%. (v) The Computer Based (Online) MCET- AC consists of 160 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ s). The duration of the Test is 3 hours. The standard of the examination will be that of 10+2, Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. 4 4 Physics 40 Total 160 (vi) As per Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India regulations, the candidates shall secure minimum of 50% marks in the Computer Based (Online) Entrance Test to become eligible for admission into MBBS/BDS courses. The Com puter based (Online) Entrance Test shall be conducted at the centers notified. The Test center shall be allotted as per the candidate s option and as per the availability. The Hall Ticket will contain the Nam e of the allotted Test center. The convenor reserves the right to allot a candidate to any one of the Test centers. The candidate shall give 3 options for allotm ent of test places in the order of priority. The Test Center shall be allotted depending upon the availability of accom modation in the particular Test Center. 7.1 MCET-AC GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS (i) Candidate should report at the test center one hour before the start of the test. i.e., 1.30 PM. No entry into the test centre will be permitted after 2.00 PM. The Examination process will be commenced by PM sharp. (ii) (iii) Candidates taking the Entrance Examination will be subjected to thorough frisking before allowing into the hall at the stipulated time. Biometric finger print and image capture will be done for every candidate on the day of Examination inside the Examination hall by the authorized personnel. (iv) Carry only Hall ticket and original ID inside the hall. No candidate will be allowed to take the examination without producing the valid Hall ticket and photo ID. The candidate has to submit a copy of Hall ticket and photo ID to the invigilator. Therefore candidates are advised to attend with copies of Hall ticket and photo ID. 4

5 (v) (vi) (vii) (viii) The Examination will be Computer Based (Online) Test. Check the seating plan and identify the room / lab allotted as per his/her hall ticket number. Candidates are not allowed to carry any Text materials, Printed or Written, bits of papers, envelope or any other materials except the Hall Ticket and Photo ID inside the Examination Hall. Pens, Pencils, Calculators, any Watches, Cellular phones, Wallets, Pagers or any other Electronic gadgets shall not be allowed inside the examination hall. The candidate must sign in the attendance sheet at the appropriate place and affix the left index finger impression against the appropriate column of the attendance sheet. Photo Copy of Hall Ticket and Photo ID to be handed over to the invigilator. Failure to comply to this requirement will lead to the annulling of his candidature without any prior intimation. 7.2 UNFAIR MEANS IN THE ENTRANCE TEST: I. Hall Ticket is not transferable. Hall Ticket should not be tampered. II. III. A person should not impersonate a candidate. Except Hall Ticket & Photo ID, candidate should not possess any Pen, Pencil, Papers, Books or Notes or Written notes or any type of Electronic gadgets like Pagers, Cell Phones, Computers, Calculators, Bluetooth etc., on his clothes, body or table or chair, in to the examination Hall / Centres. IV. Candidate should not talk to another candidate or person inside or outside the examination hall without permission of the invigilating staff. V. Candidate should not show his / her Monitor to another candidate or he / she should not receive, attempt to receive help from any source, including consulting books, notes or papers or any other matter outside the exam hall or has given help or attempted to give help. VI. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before 5.30 PM. 7.3 Violat ion of t h e ab ove in st r u ct ion s w ill b e con sid er ed as m alp r act ice. I. Any candidate resorting to malpractice in the Entrance Examination will have his / her examination invalidated and will be disqualified from appearing for Entrance Examination. II. If a person impersonates a candidate, he / she will be disqualified from appearing for any Entrance examination for five years and if he/she is not on University rolls, will not be admitted to any course for five years and criminal case will be lodged against him/her in the police station, the candidate who is impersonated also will be disqualified for 5 years. III. Any items such as Calculators, Pagers, Cell Phones, Computers, Bluetooth or any other Electronic gadget found with candidate will be seized and will not be returned. 7.3 HALL TICKETS : The eligible candidate shall download the Hall Ticket through online from the web site from (2P.M) to (2P.M) onwards by entering his/her User id and password as communicated to the candidate through SMS/E- MAIL. Ex: 1. User ID: Application Number 2. Password: DD/MM/YYYY The Test Centre shall be allotted from among the options given by the candidate in the order of priority in the application form depending upon the availability of accommodation in the particular test center. 5

MERIT LISTS: (i) The counseling will be conducted basing upon the Rank obtained in MCET-AC (ii) The ranking will be on the basis of the 75% marks obtained in MCET- AC. and 25% of the marks of science subjects of qualifying examination. (iii) For the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one candidate securing the same combined score obtained as per sub rule (ii) above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative by successively considering the following:- 1) The total marks secured in MCET-AC 2) The marks secured in biology in MCET-AC 3) The marks scored in physics in MCET-AC 4) The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination. 5) If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger. 9. COUNSELLING FOR ALLOTMENT OF SEATS: The seats shall be filled through counseling by the Committee for Admissions appointed by APMDCMA as per merit from the candidates who have qualified at the common entrance test, MCET-AC The date, time and venue of Counseling will be notified by the convener. The candidates shall be present when called in the order of rank. If a candidate fails to be present he will be declared absent and the next candidate in the merit will be considered. The candidates shall attend the counseling in person. The candidates shall attend with all original certificates and tution fee and university registration fee. Candidates who fail to produce or to submit original certificates or demand draft for tution fee/ university fee will not be considered for counseling. Such Candidates will be declared absent and the next candidate in the merit will be considered. 10. One year Compulsory Rural Service: As per G.O.Ms. No. 166, HM & FW (E1) Dept., dated The Compulsory Rural Medical/ Dental service for MBBS / BDS candidates admitted from the academic year onwards shall be for a period of one year, immediately following the successful completion of the MBBS / BDS including the completion of house surgency. The candidates shall be called as junior residence during the period of one year of rural service. (i) On successful completion of the one year rural Medical / Dental Service, the candidate will be eligible for a permanent registration with AP Medical Council / Dental Council. 11. JOINING TIME: The selected candidates shall join the college within the specified date. 12.(i) UNIVERSITY FEE: The selected candidates shall pay the University fee as fixed by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences shall be paid at the time of counseling (ii) TUITION FEE: As per G.O.Ms.No.30 HM & FW., (C1) Department dt of the Principal Secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh. 6

7 Course Un-aided Non-Minority- B category Seat Rs. MBBS 11,00,000/- P. A. BDS 4,50,000/- P. A. Candidates are informed that they have to pay the college fee and university fee on the day of selection / counseling itself. If the candidate fails to pay the fee after choosing the seat, the seat will be cancelled automatically without any notice. The candidates will not be given any extension of time to pay the fee. The Tution Fee has to be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of The Secretary, APMDCMA payable at Rajahmundry / Vijayawada. The selected candidates shall submit bank guarantee for remaining period of study. 13. CLOSURE OF ADMISSION: The admission shall be closed on POWERS OF THE SELECTION COMMITTEE: The Selection Committee shall have the power to revise its decision in any case and to direct the Principal concerned to take further action either to select or to cancel the selection, or to admit or cancel the admission before the closure of admissions. Selections shall not be questioned after closure of admissions. 15. The regulations of Dr. N.T.R.University of Health Sciences are applicable with regard to break of study and re-admission.. 8 INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES ABOUT COUNSELING FOR MBBS & BDS COURSES The candidates shall attend the counseling with the following original certificates (1) SSC certificate or Equivalent Examination showing the Date of Birth of the Candidate. (2) Inter mediate of AP or its equivalent examination with 10+2 pattern. LIST OF COLLEGES The admissions into the following colleges are subject to the permission by the Government of India / Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India. NOTE: a) In case any new Medical Colleges or Dental Colleges are affiliated to the University/any college is permitted by the Govt. of India for the academic year , the seats in those colleges also will be filled up. If any colleges listed above are not permitted by Government of India for the year , the seats in that college will not be filled.
