Poised to celebrate 60 years of service next year, All Saints educates preschool (age three) through grade twelve students. The school community honors the Episcopal tradition of academic excellence and supports a culture of inclusiveness where individual differences are celebrated, and the importance of character and moral development is emphasized. Dedicated faculty, supportive parents, and a committed Board of Trustees provide a strong sense of community and a foundation that supports a premiere college preparatory education. With a recent campus wide expansion and a growing student population, All Saints is prepared to begin another exciting chapter, and we seek a strong and talented individual to lead us into the future. A new Head of School will play a pivotal role in All Saints ongoing success by working closely with trustees, administration, faculty, parents and students. The Head of School is the lead administrator for a staff of approximately 80 employees and a student body of nearly 500. As the school s most

3 important advocate, the Head will also develop important relationships with alumni and supporters of the school as well as representing the school across the community. We look forward to our new Head of School joining us on July 1, 2017 for the start of the school year to embrace our mission and continue our rich tradition of academic excellence in the West Texas area. HISTORY All Saints was founded in 1956 as a mission of St. Christopher s Episcopal Church and in 1975 became an independent Episcopal institution governed by a Board of Trustees. As a private, independent school, All Saints historically provided a classical education to students ages three through eighth grade. As a result of the excellence in educational outcomes, parents and other interested community members encouraged the school to add a high school program. All Saints High School was launched with an inaugural freshman class in the fall of Subsequent grades were added each year, and the first senior class graduation will take place in May of In the early eighties, a long time supporter donated her family farmland to All Saints. A new and much needed campus was created on that land, and facilities opened in the fall of Since that time, the campus has flourished and grown with remaining land still available for future growth. Located in a rapidly growing sector of town, today s campus includes the Patriot Learning Center for preschool thru kindergarten students, a lower school facility, middle school, and newly created high school. A recent campus wide expansion project allowed the school to add a new fine arts center, science labs, student commons area, and administrative complex along with the high school academic space and a high school gym. The school greatly values the ability to have all of its students on one campus, thus enhancing its strong and purposeful sense of community.

4 All Saints is fully accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES) which is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Commission on Accreditation. A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE Throughout the years, All Saints has endeavored to instill the principles of its mission statement in every student. In keeping with this purpose, there has been an overarching commitment to a culture of inclusiveness where individual differences are celebrated, and character and moral development are stressed. The foundation of our program is built on five pillars: Academics, Fine Arts, Athletics, Personal & Spiritual Growth, and Service to Others. While the school is anchored by these pillars, we are also incorporating new methods and technologies to prepare students for the changing world in which they live. A talented faculty is dedicated to helping each student discover his or her unique

5 talents and abilities to achieve success not only at All Saints but in college, career, and beyond. Our curriculum is enhanced by a number of enrichment activities as well as learning opportunities beyond the classroom such as the 7 th grade Texas history trip, 8 th grade Washington D. C. trip, and sophomore college tour. All Saints students are accepted into many of the finest universities across the country with many students receiving scholarship opportunities. Prior to beginning our high school program, our students were selected for many distinguished honors in the other high schools they attended, including a number of National Merit Scholars, Valedictorians and Salutatorians. THE LUBBOCK COMMUNITY Lubbock is a vibrant and growing community located in northwest Texas in an area known as the South Plains. Many believe that Lubbock is the perfect size community in which to live. Lubbock is home to Texas Tech

6 University as well as several smaller colleges and universities. It offers outstanding cultural diversity, healthcare, and recreational opportunities, along with a mild climate, and a quality of life found in smaller communities. Serving as the health care center for West Texas, Lubbock is home to the Texas Tech School of Medicine and the most advanced medical care in the region. The fine arts community includes a symphony orchestra, youth orchestra, ballet, numerous theater companies and a new community fine arts center in the works. Lubbock was built on a thriving oil and agricultural industry and produces two to three million bales of cotton annually. The temperate climate also provides the perfect environment for thriving vineyards and a growing wine industry. Currently, more than 300,000 people call Lubbock home and are proud to live in an area known for its gracious living and hospitality. QUALIFICATIONS FOR HEAD OF SCHOOL Professional Qualifications Masters level degree required, Doctorate preferred. An educator with successful experience in administration (preferably in an independent school with a variety of ages) and teaching.

7 Demonstrated ability to hire, retain, inspire, and motivate talented faculty and staff. A relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills. A natural leader who will be an appealing and persuasive advocate for All Saints both inside and outside the school community Demonstrated experience in fund development, admissions/marketing, and broader community involvement. Leadership Style A humble, moral leader of strong character, integrity, and responsibility. An engaged, visible, energetic and supportive leader who will demonstrate a sincere interest in all constituencies of the school and all of the school programs. Sets a standard of excellence for all aspects of the school s program. Plays an active, visible leadership role in the school s advancement program and activities such as events, campaigns, and donor relations. Promotes the school in the community and networks effectively. Oversees the school s business and financial management. Oversight of the hiring and evaluation process.
