4 Assembing Insta the SIM card You need to insert a SIM card to enabe the Phone function. Pease foow the instructions beow for the SIM instaation. 1. Make sure that the card s god contacts face into the device. 2. Push the SIM card into the sot unti it fixe. Insta the memory card You need to inserts the memory card for the extra storage. 1. Insert a memory card with the god contacts facing downwards. 2. Push the memory card into the sot unti it fixed. Charge the battery You must charge the device before your first time usage 1. You can charge the device with a trave adapter or by connecting the device to a PC with a USB cabe. 2. Battery fu icon wi shown when finished if your device is power off. Warning:Pease use origina chargers. Unapproved chargers or cabes can cause expode or damage your device. 3

5 Getting started Device ayout Icon Function Remark Power Lock Reset Press and hod for 2 seconds to turn on or turn off the device. Press once to ock the device. 6 Use the touch pane You can operate the icon, button, keyboard by the touch pane. Incuding: Touch: To access an appication, touch it with your finger. For exampe: Touch an appication icon, you can open the appication. Touch and Hod: To enter the avaiabe options for an item, touch and hod the item. Side/Swipe: Side the screen to scro up and down the appications, images, and webpages at your convenience. You coud side the screen horizontay too. Drag: Pace your finger on the screen to drag an object to another ocation. Pinch/Spread: Pace your fingers of one hand on the screen surface and draw them apart or together to scae an eement on the screen. 5

7 Home screen You can bring a the items (appications, shortcuts, foders and widgets) you want to your Home screen for quick access. Press the Home key to switch to Home screen. Home screen is provided in an extended format to aow more space for adding appications, shortcuts etc. Side the Home screen horizontay eft and right to get a compete view of the Home screen. The white short ine at the ower part of the screen indicates which screen you are viewing Task bar The task bar is shown at the bottom of the screen. It dispays commony used option buttons, battery eve indicator, current time and other indicator icons. 1 Return to previous screen. 2 Return to home screen. 3 View the appications you have accessed recenty. 4 Open appication menu Dispay notification icons. Tap the notifications area to open the notification pane. 5 6

8 Notification pane Tap the notifications area to open the notification pane shown beow. You can access a ist of notifications. Tap icon to activate or deactivate wireess connection features and other settings. 9 Lock & unock the screen To unock the screen, tap and hod the ock icon, then drag it to the unock area where the unock icon is. To ock the screen manuay, press Power key. Security You can protect your device and data by setting screen ock or encrypting your tabet. Set a screen ock To set a screen ock, tap Settingsà Securityà Screen ock from appication ist. None:Deactivate the screen ock. PIN:Enter a numeric PIN to unock. When prompted, enter the PIN to unock the screen. Pattern:Draw a pattern to unock. Foow the instructions to draw your ock pattern. When prompted, draw the pattern to unock the screen. Password:Enter a passcode to unock. When prompted, enter the passcode to unock the screen. Screen time-out Seect SettingsàDispayàSeep from appication ist, you can set the time before the screen times out and goes into ock mode. Auto rotation If you rotate the device whie using some features, the interface wi automaticay rotate as we. To prevent the interface from rotating, open the notifications pane and seect Auto-rotate screen scro it to Off., then 8

10 Enter text You can enter text by seecting characters on the virtua keyboard. Tap the text input fied to dispay the virtua keyboard. To change the text input method, tap at the task bar. From a text fied, you can use the copy and paste feature for fast inputting. Manage appications To manage the appications instaed on your device, tap SettingsàApp. To uninsta an appication, side to Downoaded, then seect an item and tap Uninsta, tap OK to confirm. To stop or change the settings of an appication, seect Running or A, then seect an item and tap the option you need. Reset tabet You can reset system and desktop settings to their origina vaues by the foowing steps: Seect Settingsà Backup & reset from appication ist. Tap Factory data reset. Tap Reset tabet. The device resets to the factory defaut settings automaticay. Warning!: Factory data reset wi erase a data from your device and SD card, incuding your googe account, system and appication data and settings, and downoaded appications. 9

11 Communication Phone To use caing functions, tap Phone from appication ist. Make cas To make cas, you can use any of the three ways: 1. Enter numbers by using the virtua numeric keypad on the screen 2. Make a ca from ca og. 3. Make a ca from contacts. Answer a ca To answer a ca, drag the circed button to the bue button. To decine a ca, drag the circed button to the red button. To end a ca in progress, tap the red button. Ca settings To change ca settings, tap the option button at the upper right inside the ca interface. Ringtone & Vibrate You can set different ringtones for incoming cas. Seect Phone ringtone to open a ist of ringtones, seect the desired ringtone, and then seect OK to confirm. Tap Vibrate when ringing to create a checkmark and the tabet vibrates to notify you of incoming cas. Dia pad touch tones Tap Dia pad touch tones to create a checkmark and your device wi sound a tone once you tap the dia pad. 10

12 Contacts Tap Peope from appication ist to access contacts. Groups:List a your contacts by group. A:List a your contacts saved in the device memory. Favorites:List the contacts that you have set as favorites or the contacts that you have sent message to or diaed. Add new contact 1. Access Peope. 2. Tap. 3. Enter necessary fieds. 4. Tap DONE. Edit a contact 1. To edit a contact, scro to the contact you want to change. 2. Tap the pen button at the upper right. 3. Change necessary fieds. 4. Tap DONE. Create new group 1. Tap the option button at the upper right. 2. Tap at the upper right. 3. Enter a category name. 4. Tap DONE. Rename group 1. To rename the group, scro to the group you want to change. 2. Tap at the upper right or tap the option button and then seect Edit. 3. Enter a new category name. 4. Tap DONE. 11

13 Import/Export contacts Import from the SIM card To copy the contacts from the SIM card, tap the option button at the upper right and then seect Import/Exportà Import from the SIM card, seect contacts, and then seect Import. Import from SD card To import contact fies (in vcf format) from a memory card to your device, tap the option button at the upper right. And then seect Import/ExportàImport from SD card, seect a memory ocation and contact fies to import and seect OK. Export to SD card To export contacts from your device to a memory card, tap the option button at the upper right and then seect Import/ExportàExport to SD card, seect OK to confirm. Share visibe contacts With this feature, you can send the visibe contacts via Emai. Search for contacts 1. Tap at the tite bar from contact ist screen, enter the desired information, then your device shows the resut. 2. Tap the search icon at the upper eft from home screen, enter the contact s name or number, your device shows the resut immediatey. Messaging Learn to create and send a text or mutimedia message, and view or manage messages that you have sent or received. View messages 1. Tap Messaging from appication ist. 2. Tap the message to view the detaied information. 12

14 Create and send SMS 1. Tap New Message button on the upper right. 2. In To fied, enter the recipient s mobie phone numbers manuay. If you enter more than one number, separate the numbers with a comma. 3. In Type message, enter the text of the message. 4. Tap to send the message. Create and send MMS Mutimedia message can incude pictures, sound and text. 1. Tap New Message. 2. Tap at the tite bar. 3. Seect one of the items beow. Pictures: Insert image. Capture picture:capture new picture and insert the picture. Videos: Insert video cip. Capture video: Capture new video cip and insert the video cip. Audio: Insert sound cip. Record audio: Record sound cip and insert the sound cip. Sideshow: Add more than one side. Tap to send the message. 13

15 Emai To receive and send mai, you must have a remote maibox service. This service may be offered by a service provider. Your device is compiant with appicabe internet standards for POP3/IMAP/Exchange. Gmai You can retrieve new emai messages from the Googe Mai webmai service to your inbox. Before you can send or receive mai on your device, you need to set up a Gmai account. Create a Gmai account If you don t have a Googe Account, tap New, then foow the onscreen instructions to create a new one. Set up a Gmai account If you want to add an existing account, tap Existing, enter your emai address and password, and then seect Next, when you are finished setting up the emai account, the emai messages are downoaded to your device. View emai messages When you open the emai account, the amount of unread emai messages is dispayed at the tite bar and the unread emai messages are dispayed in bod. Create and send an emai 1. Tap. 2. In To fied, enter the recipient s emai addresses manuay and separate them with a comma 3. Add more recipients by tapping Cc/Bcc. 4. To insert attachments, tap the option button at the upper right and seect Attach fie. 5. Enter the subject and the text. 6. Tap SEND to send the emai. 14

16 Web Browser Tap Browser from appication ist to access to the web. Browser webpages 1. Seect Browser to aunch a specified homepage. 2. To access a specific webpage, seect the URL input fied, enter the web address of the webpage, and seect Go. 3. To zoom in, pace two fingers on the screen and spread them apart. To zoom out, move your fingers coser together. You can aso doubetap the screen. Add windows You can have mutipe windows open at one time. 1. To add a new window, tap at the tite bar. 2. To open up a window, tap the tite of the window. 3. To cose the window, tap at the tite bar. Set homepage 1. Tap the option button at the upper right. 2. Seect SettingsÊGeneraÊSet homepage. 3. Enter the web address of the desired webpage. Add bookmarks Whie navigating a website, tap to add current URL to your bookmark ist and easiy access it ater. View bookmarks and history Tap to open the bookmark ist and the recent history. Tap a bookmark or any entry to dispay the webpage. 15

17 Customize browser To make adjustments in your browser settings, tap the option button at the upper right, and then seect Settings. Pay Store Pay Store aows you to easiy downoad an abundance of appications directy to your device. Before using the Pay Store, you must have a Googe Account. Note A appications offered by Pay Store are deveoped by third party. To get the information about the deveopers, you can read the descriptions of each appication. Our company is not iabe for performance issues caused by thirdparty appications. Android, Googe Pay, and the Googe Pay ogo are trademarks of Googe Inc. Entertainment Gaery To view or organize your images and video cips, or edit and send your fies to other devices, or set photos as wapapers, seect Gaery from appication ist. Note: It takes a few more minutes to enter this appication if you store more fies. 16

18 View a photo Seect a foder. Seect a photo to view. To view more photos, scro eft or right. To zoom in, pace two fingers on the screen and spread them apart. To zoom out, move fingers coser together. You can aso doube-tap the screen. To start a sideshow, tap at the tite bar. To view the detais of a fie, tap the option button, then seect Detais. To share a photo with others via Emai, Gmai or Messaging, tap at the tite bar.. Edit a photo 1. To crop the image, tap the option button at the upper right, then seect Crop. 2. To move the crop box, tap and hod the crop box and drag it to the desired ocation. 3. To add or subtract from the seection border of the crop box, drag the crop box to the desired size. 4. When you are finished, tap Save. 5. To edit photos and appy various effects, tap the option button at the upper right, then seect Edit. Pay a video 1. Seect a foder. 2. Seect a video to pay. 3. Contro payback with the virtua keys. 17

19 Music With Music, you can pay music fies. The music payer supports the foowing fie formats: MP3, AAC, APE, WMA, OGG, WAV, M4A and so on. Note: Some fies may not pay propery depending on how they are encoded. Add music fies to your device Start by transferring fies to your device or memory card. Pay music Seect a music fie. Contro payback with the virtua keys. Create a payist The current ist of songs are randomy shuffed for payback. Return back to the current ist of songs Repeats the current paying song. 1. Tap and hod a music fie. 2. Seect Add to payist. 3. Seect New. 4. Enter a name. 5. Tap Save. Deete a payist 1. Tap Payists. 2. Tap and hod the payist you want to deete. 3. Seect Deete. 18

20 Camera With the camera function, you can capture photos and take videos. Capture a photo 1. Open the appication ist and seect Camera. 2. Before taking a picture, you need to know some settings. Pace two fingers on the screen and spread them apart or move fingers coser together to zoom in or zoom out. 3. Aim the ens at the subject and tap to take a photo. The photo is saved automaticay to the foder DCIM. 4. Seect the image viewer icon at the upper right to view the pictures. 19

21 Record a video 1. Open the appication ist and seect Camera. Tap to change to video mode. 2. Tap to start recording. The ength of the video recording is restricted by the avaiabe space on your storage. 3. Tap to stop recording. The video is saved automaticay to the foder DCIM. 4. After recording videos, seect the image viewer icon at the upper right to view the recorded videos. Toos Caendar With the Caendar feature, you can consut the caendar by day, week, or month, create events, and set an aarm to act as a reminder, if necessary. To access the caendar, tap Caendar from appication ist. 20

22 To create an event, tap. Fi in the fieds, and set category, date, time & an aarm. After you finish, seect DONE. You can view caendar in different views, Day, Week, Month and A. To deete an entry, tap the event to open it, and then seect OK. then Aarm From appication ist, tap Cock, and then seect. Tap the + button on the bottom screen to add aarm. Tap the numeric pad to set aarm time, and then seect AM or PM, when you are finished, tap OK. Tap the time to change aarm time. 1. Set aarm time, repeat cyce, and aarm ringtone, taps OK after finished. 2. Tap cance to shut down the aarm, and tap ring again, then the aarm wi stop ringing for a few minutes. 3. Untick the cock to stop using the cock. 4. Long taping the cock then it can be deeted. Fie Manager Many features of the device, such as images, videos, documents, received attachments and downoaded fies or appications, use memory to store data. With Fie manager, you can store and browse fies and foders in your device, or edit, move, copy fies; you can send fies to compatibe devices as we. Note: Some fies formats are not supported depending on the software of the device. Some fies may not pay propery depending on how they are encoded. 21

23 Sound Recorder With Recorder, you can record a voice memo. From appication ist, tap Recorder. To record a voice memo, tap. To pause the recording, tap. To isten to a voice recording that you just recorded, tap. Cacuator With this feature, you can use the device as a cacuator. The cacuator provides the basic arithmetic functions. Tap the virtua numeric and cacuation keys to perform a cacuation. Connectivity USB Connection You can connect your device to a PC and use it as a removabe disk, which aows you access the fie directory. 1. If you want to transfer fies from or to a memory card, insert a memory card into the device. 2. With a USB cabe, connect your device to a PC. 3. Open the notification pane, seect USB connected. 4. Tap Turn on USB storage. 5. Open the foder to view fies. 6. Copy fies from the PC to the memory card. WLAN With WLAN, you can connect to the internet or other network devices anywhere an access point or wireess hotspot is avaiabe. 22

24 Activate the WLAN feature 1. From appication ist, tap Settings. 2. In the fied of WIRELESS & NETWORKS, turn on the WLAN feature. Find and connect to WLAN 1. Once the WLAN feature is activated, the device automaticay search for avaiabe WLAN connection. 2. Seect a network. 3. Enter a password for the network (if necessary). 4. Seect Connect. BT Find and connect to BT 1. Once you need to use the BT, you shoud open BT option. And find other devices which aso need to open BT. 2. Seect a found device 3. Choose pair 4. Seect pair and use BT. 23

Wireess devices can cause interference in aircraft. Vehices Never use your device whie driving. Pace it in a safe pace. Position your device within easy reach. Potentiay exposive environments Switch off your device when in any area with a potentiay exposive atmosphere, and obey a signs and instructions. Sparks in such areas coud cause an exposion or fire resuting in bodiy injury or even death. Pacemakers and other medica devices Pacemaker manufacturers recommend that a minimum separation of 8 inches be maintained between a wireess device and a pacemaker to avoid potentia interference with the pacemaker. Operation of any radio transmitting equipment, incuding wireess phones may interference with the functionaity of inadequatey protected medica devices. Consut a physician or the manufacturer of the medica device to determine if they are adequatey shieded from externa RF energy or if you have any questions. Switch off your device in heath care faciities when any reguations posted in these areas instruct you to do so.
