Others, such as planting trees, promoting walking instead of using vehicles 5 Cooperation with Public/Private Organizations in Alleviating the Global Warming On 9 May 2007 at UN Building in Bangkok, 36 Organizations jointly signed the Bangkok Declaration for the Cooperation on alleviating the global warming. Five highlighted ways to mitigate global warming: 1. Reduce energy consumption. 2. Reduce GHG emissions. 3. Promote sufficiency economy lifestyle. 4. Promote helpful activities. 5. Transportation system development 2. Promotion of Alternative Energies 3. Development of Green Buildings and Environmental Friendly Offices 4. Waste and water management 5. Increase of green areas The drafted plan has been presented to all organizations signing the Bangkok Declaration for their consideration and preparation in joining various proposed activities. 8 4
