This course will satisfy the minimum-skilled requirements for an individual wishing to commence work in a Quality Management environment. accreditation with Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Students will be advised of fees and details while attending the programme. LEARNING TO LEARN Please note: Institute induction and commencement of the Learning to Learn module is on Saturday 21 September 2013 from 9.30am to 5.00pm. 3 Certificate in Fundamentals of Quality Assurance NFQ Level 6 The main aim of this programme is to provide graduates with an understanding of the basic principles of quality assurance with particular emphasis on quality management system standards including ISO 9001:2008, as well as auditing, statistical techniques and current trends. This course is designed for those who wish to gain specialist knowledge of quality management principles and how they are applied in the manufacturing, processing and service industries. This course covers all the fundamental quality related subjects necessary for anyone new to or considering a career in quality assurance. In addition, the practical application of all the course concepts is covered. 5 Certificate in Applied Site Engineering Surveying NFQ Level 6 (Special Purpose ) Participants are introduced to the principles and practice of Applied Site Engineering Surveying. They will learn: Setting up profiles for vertical control of earthworks and pipe laying How to use a pipe laser The use of fixed grade, single grade and dual grade rotating lasers Data entry to total station for setting out Digital engineering surveying Setting out using total station and GPS As-built surveying using total station Data logging hardware and software Data control for surveying with total station Downloading surveys to PC from total station and GPS Digital terrain modelling using CAD Drafting surveyed data using CAD Classes are held 9.00am to 6.00pm on Fridays for 5 days. 6 Solidworks - 3D Mechanical Design Participants will develop the necessary skills to create realistic 3D mechanical models, generate accurate 2D dimensioned detail and create simple 3D animation while gaining a practical appreciation of 3D mechanical modelling. Revit 2013 incorporates Revit Architecture, MEP and Structures in one package, thereby allowing access to all disciplines. Students will undertake regular project work in order to ensure that the theory is implemented through hands-on practice.
