We must attract ad retai faculty of the highest caliber who brig a rage of perspectives ad/or prior experieces to the School. To further raise our visibility ad promiece, we will expad the School s research portfolio by icreasig the umber of faculty with research-itesive profiles ecompassig cross-discipliary biomedical, traslatioal ad commuity-based research. We would like to icrease the School s ability to recruit, support ad retai such faculty. For studets who are iterested, faculty-metored research opportuities will be made available to them. Similarly, we would like to attract faculty from other parts of the Uiversity to the areas we have traditioally studied. Offerig exemplary patiet care requires studet ad faculty cliicias to apply the evidece base for treatmet recommedatios, assess patiet eeds, develop a comprehesive treatmet pla to meet those eeds, ad provide treatmet i a professioal ad compassioate maer. The School provides comprehesive patiet care through idividualized studet learig with faculty experts. Throughout the curriculum, studets have cliical learig opportuities that itegrate biomedical, behavioral ad cliical kowledge ad skills, from prevetio to therapeutics. Optimal patiet care icludes evaluatig ad applyig ew discoveries ad techologies. The School provides comprehesive patiet care through idividualized studet learig with faculty experts. A comprehesive lifespa approach to patiet care requires collaboratio with ad referral to detal ad medical specialists. Detal studets ad practitioers workig as part of health care teams with studets ad practitioers from other health professios may improve the coordiatio ad efficiecy of patiet care.
