2 Lincroft places great emphasis upon a neat personal appearance and the maintenance of uniform. We rely on the support of parents in ensuring that the uniform is worn smartly and with a sense of pride. Some of the uniform may be purchased on the High Street (e.g. trousers and shirts) but we also ensure that there is a distinctive feel and style to the uniform to encourage and foster a sense of pride in the School s identity. We would prefer parents to support us in this aim although we will understand if some items supplied by the School are purchased more cheaply elsewhere. We endeavour to use school wear specialist providers. The guidelines on uniform, hairstyles, jewellery and make-up must be followed. If in doubt, speak to your child s Form Tutor before making changes which might bring your child into conflict with school guidelines. If there are any queries regarding dress and appearance, it is vital that the school is contacted first before any items are purchased or appearances changed. 3 *Black V-neck jumper (with Lincroft logo) Black blazer with the Lincroft logo (optional for Years 5 and 6, compulsory for Years 7 and 8) Winter coat for cold, wet weather Performing Arts polo-shirt for Dance, Drama, Music and Performing Arts lessons Plain full length black school trousers no denim/jean-style trousers Black socks Black school shoes - no trainers/plimsolls * Please note Year 7 and 8 pupils are expected to wear their blazers at all times and may wear the black school jumper underneath during colder times of the year. Boys Games Kit White PE polo shirt Athletics vest Fully reversible sports jersey (rugby top) Red football shorts (plain not striped) Navy rugby shorts Red and white football socks A change of short white sports socks is necessary for PE/Games Indoor trainers (High Street shops describe these as non-marking soles). These should be dedicated to indoor use only. Outdoor trainers Running spikes (cross-country, athletics) optional Football boots, with recommended safety studs e.g. rubber. Plastic studs are regarded as dangerous and the RFU ban their use. Black tailored trousers - no denim/jean-style trousers/hipsters/skinny/tight-fit trousers or leggings Leggings are not permitted, though plain black tights are acceptable (no footless/patterned tights allowed) Plain black or dark grey skirt (appropriate length -no more than 2 above the knee) Black ankle socks (not trainer liners) or white knee high socks Black school shoes no trainers, boots, plimsolls, high heels or backless shoes as this can be a health and safety concern around the school site * Please note Year 7 and 8 pupils are expected to wear their blazers at all times and may wear the red school jumper underneath during colder times of the year. Ms Degano,

5 our School Receptionist, can assist you with School Uniform enquiries and orders. Orders and payments can be taken online at via debit/credit card. Please contact the School if you would like to open an account. Order forms can also be found on the School website and can be handed in at reception with a cash or cheque payment. Subject to stock, orders will be ready for collection the following day. Pupils may collect their orders direct from Main Reception. We also sell optional extras such as plastic water bottles and waterproof jackets. Should your child represent the School on a regular basis additional sporting items can be purchased such as PE jackets and table tennis kit. Specialist name labels are available to purchase from the School. We would encourage you to purchase these and label the PE kit as shown below. TO AVOID CONFUSION

6 No hoodies, sports jumpers, cardigans, tops or items with large lettering or logos should be worn. They will be confiscated if worn. Haircuts/Hairstyles: Only natural colours are permitted (if hair is coloured, no extreme shades are allowed) No extreme styles are allowed. Minimum of Grade 2. No tramlines or patterns should be shaved into the hair or the eyebrows. Long hair must be tied back at all times with a plain black/red hairband or clip. In the event of an extreme hairstyle, the student will be taught away from their peers until they are able to comply with the School rules. Jewellery: A maximum of one small plain stud may be worn in each ear. Necklaces, bracelets and rings must not be worn. These will be confiscated if worn. Facial piercings including nose and tongue studs and body piercings are not permitted in school. We would advise all valuable items and those of sentimental value be left at home to avoid loss. Make-Up: Make-up or nail varnish must not be worn. Students will be asked to remove these immediately if they are worn at school.
