1 Driving My Financial Future a patch program created in collaboration with Toyota Financial Service & Reporting Form
2 Dear Girl Scouts, Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pine Council is very proud to collaborate with Toyota Financial Services and Girl Scouts of the USA to introduce a new national patch: Driving My Financial Future! Driving My Financial Future invites Arizona girls, in grades 4-12, to focus on all aspects of financial literacy. This comprehensive patch program offers girls age appropriate, hands-on learning opportunities. It also provides the opportunity to connect, directly, with financial literacy community partners and organizations around the state. Girl Scouts may earn the new Driving My Financial Future patch when they ve earned two financial literacy badges in When earning badges, girls learn how to save, build credit, research, comparison-shop and negotiate. HOW CAN WE GET STARTED? Here s how the patch program works: 1. There are several ways that girls can earn the patch. Review the earned recognitions matrix that follows for details of these opportunities. a. Based on your Girl Scout level, complete the GSUSA level badges, outlined under the GSUSA badge by level heading, to receive one free badge and one Driving My Financial Future patch. b. Attend one or more Council-sponsored Signature Events to earn parts of level financial literacy badges. c. Attend one or more council-sponsored community partner event or arrange an individual visit to any community partner listed. A complete listing of program dates and descriptions of Councilsponsored, community partner events can be found at d. Additional resources are listed on page 5. Troop/group/adult leadership should contact institutions directly to arrange a tour or program. 2.
