In pursuance of the guidelines issued by UGC, Admission to LL.M One Year/Two Year Post Graduate Program will be through an Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test. 2. The candidate who has passed the Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test, 2013 will be admitted to LL.M One Year/Two Year Post Graduate Program at Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College in the order of merit secured by him subject to intake capacity. 3. The candidate shall secure minimum 50% marks in Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test 2013 to pass the entrance examination. The last date for registration is 13th July, Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test LL.M. Entrance Test Paper as well as Group Discussion. 70% weightage will be given to the performance of the candidates in the LL.M. Entrance Test Paper & 30% to his/her performance in Group Discussion. 6. The result of Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test 2013 will be declared on Monday, at 5p.m. on the Website of University and College. (Website: / / 7. The candidates who have qualified the Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test 2013 shall attend the counseling for admission (subject to his merit and seats available) at New law College, Pune on 31st July, He/She shall confirm his/her admission by paying the total fees prescribed for the program on the date of counseling. Subsequent claim for admission will not be entertained after the date of counseling. 8. The admission secured by the candidate shall remain provisional till he/she clears the eligibility requirements prescribed by the University and Bar Council of India. In case of non fulfillment of eligibility the provisional admission can be cancelled at any stage without giving any notice to the candidate. 9. In case of cancellation of admission the rules of university shall be applicable for refund of tuition fees (See page no. 15). 10.The Entrance Examination Fee is Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand only). The fee can be paid in cash at the admission counter or through Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar,, Pune, on any Nationalised bank payable at Pune. 11.The original Demand Draft shall be enclosed with the application form. 3 Intake : LL.M One Year Post Graduate Program - Total 80 Students / LL.M Two Year Post Graduate Program- Total 80 Students 15% percent seats of the intake capacity are reserved for Foreign/NRI(Non-Resident- Indian)/P.I.O./Management Merit Category students. Eligibility for Entrance Test : The Candidates who have passed LL.B Three / Five Years Degree course from any Indian/Foreign University recognized by UGC with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% for SC/ST Candidates) are eligible to appear for Combine PG Law Entrance Test. (Candidates who have appeared for the final year LL.B examination may also apply for the Entrance Test.) LL.M One Year Intake - 80 Students Pattern of Course : Trimester (Three Semester) Duration : One Year Specialization Groups : a) International and Comparative Law b) Constitutional and Administrative Law c) Legal Pedagogy and Research LL.M Two Year Intake - 80 Students Pattern of Course : Four Semester Duration : Two Year Specialization Groups : a) Business Law b) Human Rights Law Combined PG Law Entrance Test 2013 Pattern of Examination : The Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test, 2013 shall be of total 200 marks it will consist of : 1) LL.M. Entrance Test Paper (140 Marks) 2) Group Discussion (60 marks) 1) Entrance Test The LL.M Entrance Test Paper will be of 140 marks. The question paper will consist of 140 multiple choice questions. There is no negative marking. Syllabus for Entrance µ Constitutional Law of India µ Jurisprudence µ Law of Contracts (General Principles) µ Law of Torts µ Criminal Law µ Family Law of Marriage & Divorce µ International Law & Human Rights In addition, the candidates should keep themselves updated with current affairs, Knowledge of basic English is also necessary. 2) Group Discussion Round In addition to the Entrance Test the Candidates must also appear for the Group Discussion Round which shall carry 60 Marks. It will be on Research Methodology and Fundamentals of Law. *The candidate shall give GDR at the place where he / she has appeared for entrance test. Eligibility for Admission to LL.M. One year / LL.M. Two year Note : The students who have passed the P.G. Law Entrance Test by securing 50% aggregate (i.e. 100 marks out of 200 marks) shall be eligible to attend the counseling scheduled on 31st July The admission shall be made on the basis of Merit subject to intake capacity. 14 ADMISSION DETAILS

4 ADMISSION DETAILS Fee Structure Sr. No Course Refund of Fees LL.M One Year Post Graduate Program LL.M Two Year Post Graduate Program 1) In the event of student withdrawing before the starting of the particular course, the entire fee collected from student, after a deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) shall be refunded. 2) If a student submit his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed)within 15 calender days for the date of commencement of the particular course, 10 percent of total amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted form the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will be refunded. 3) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed) within 30 calender days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 20 percent of the total amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will be refunded. 4) If a student submits an application for cancellation of admission after 30 calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, no refund will be made and Rule (5) may also invoked. However, if the application for cancellation of admission is submitted before the last date prescribed for admission, and if the vacated seat is filled by another candidate, 25% of the amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid and the balance amount will be refunded. 5) If any student admitted to any course leaves the course after the prescribed last date for admission of the particular course no refund will be made and he will be required to pay full amount of tuition fees for the remaining entire duration of the course. Filling of Entrance Examination Application Form & Entrance Exam Fee 1. Application form shall be filled by the candidate in block letters with Black / Blue ball point pen. 2. The Candidate shall fill all the columns relevant and shall affix latest passport photograph. 3. D.D. of Rs.1000/- towards Entrance exam fee shall be drawn in favour of the Registrar B.V.D.U., Pune on any Nationalized Bank payable at Pune. 4. The D.D. shall be enclosed with the application form with name & address of candidate written on the backside of the D.D. Conduct of Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test, 2013 The examination will be conducted on 20th July, 2013 (Saturday) at the examination centers mentioned above from a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The question paper will be in English only. The Group Discussion round will be held on 21st July, 2013 (Sunday) at the examination centers mentioned above from a.m. onwards Merit List The Merit list of candidates who have appeared for Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test, 2013 for admission in LL.M One Year/Two Year Post Graduate Program for the academic year shall be displayed in accordance with the marks obtained by them in LL.M. entrance test paper as well as their performance in the group discussion round. The merit list will be made available for information at the offices of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in Pune, Mumbai & Delhi. It will also be displayed on the website of the University: http// and of the law college Counseling Programme & Admission Admission for One Year/Two Year Post Graduate Program shall be made on the basis of merit secured by the candidate at Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test, It is advisable that the candidates who have qualified the Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test, 2013 shall visit law college website from time to time for updated information or clarification regarding counseling and admission schedule. The candidates who have qualified at the Combined All India PG Law Entrance Test, 2013 are eligible and can attend the counseling on 31st July, 2013 (Wednesday) from a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The students shall confirm their admission by paying the total fees on the date of Counseling. The fee can be paid through Cash / D.D. in favour of Principal, New Law College, Pune drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Pune. The eligible candidates shall see the website for details of counseling. Counselling letter will not be dispatched by the office. It shall be responsibility of the qualified candidate to attend the counselling on the scheduled date. The candidate who has qualified the test by securing 50% of marks in entrance examination can attend counselling on 31st July Admission will be made on merit subject to intake capacity. The eligible candidate will lose his/her claim for admission after 31st July 2013 for admission in LL.M One Year/Two Year Post Graduate Program for academic year The admission shall remain provisional unless the candidate clears his/her eligibility requirements of the University. 6 Admission of the candidate will be confirmed only if he /She produces the ELIGIBILITY DOCUMENTS following documents in original and two photocopies of the same - Proof of date of Birth : SSC Certificate or School / College Leaving Certificate Statement of marks of Degree examination Caste Certificate in case of S.C. & S.T. students only Transfer Certificate from the Institution studied last. Migration Certificate from the University. Gap Certificate (If any Gap in learning). Four recent passport-size photographs with name written on the backside. Interpretation & Decision Making Authority Differences of opinion & disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of Clauses in this brochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of this University and his decision in this regard will be final. Court Jurisdiction Any Legal matter arising out of the admission procedure of the Law Course, through LL.M. Entrance Test 2013 of, Pune - 30, will be under the jurisdiction of Court at Pune. Ragging Ragging in any form is prohibited and is an offence governed by Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999 and UGC Regulations 2009 Ragging within or outside educational institution is prohibited and is an offence. Punishment for ragging is Imprisonment up to 2 years & / or fine up to Rs. 10,000/- convicted of offence of Ragging shall be dismissed from the college and will not be eligible for admission in any Student other educational institution for a period of 5years Miscelleneous The allotment of the vacant seats, if any, shall be made on the basis of first come first serve basis. The eligible candidate (as per BCI norms) can make written application for admission to the Principal after final round of counseling. 17
