4 What is Storebox? 4 What is Storebox? Storebox is the secure business storage space in the cloud that is especially suitable for exchanging business data. The service is hosted in Swisscom data centres in Switzerland. Storebox excels in three areas: Storage, synchronisation, security Storage All data is located in the Swisscom cloud. This guarantees high availability. Access to the data is always clearly regulated. It can be defined all the way down to the level of the individual users and is managed by your company s administrator user. Within the company, specific folders enable collaboration in teams. Via links, external team members can easily be invited to read or edit a document. Synchronisation The data in the Swisscom cloud is always available, regardless of the location, the device and its operating system. Thanks to a suitable interface, the data stored in Storebox can even be accessed via third-party apps. Security Swisscom stands for maximum security and data storage in Switzerland. Your business data is stored in encrypted form in Swisscom data centres in Switzerland and geo-redundantly distributed over multiple locations. The data in Storebox is regularly backed up automatically, and as a customer you can autonomously restore the data.

6 Logging in to the team portal (/) 6 After your administrator has registered a Storebox account for you, you will receive an automatically generated . This contains a hyperlink to the Storebox portal () and the access data () that you need for the login.

7 Logging in to the team portal (/) 7 Enter the user name () and the password () that you received in the in the respective fields. Then click the Log In button (3) in order to use Storebox for the first time. 3

8 Logging out from the team portal 8 This is the view that appears as soon as you successfully log in. On this this screen you can exit the portal by clicking Logout () in the bottom left-hand corner. [test@mail.com] [test@mail.com]

9 Changing the user address (/) 9 Following the successful login, you can change the entered address under My Account () My Profile (). [test@mail.com]

11 Changing the user password (/3) Following the successful login, you can change your password under My Account () My Profile ().

13 Changing the user password (3/3) 3 To ensure the change takes place, enter the old password before you define and confirm the new password (). Click Next () to finish the process.

15 File upload (/5) 5 To upload a local file go to the Cloud Drive tab (). If the Cloud Drive tab is not visible, please contact the Storebox administrator in your company. [test@mail.com]

16 File upload (/5) 6 To upload files, select a folder () (e.g. myfiles or public ). Then select Upload () and select the local files that you would like to upload.

17 File upload (3/5) 7 Click Add Files () to select the files that you would like to upload.

18 File upload (4/5) 8 You can now select the files () and confirm the selection by clicking Open (). The file will be uploaded to the respective account. Tip: Keep the CTRL key pressed to select multiple files.

19 File upload (5/5) 9 Under Status () you can see whether the file upload is finished. >Completed: Process finished >Uploading: File is being uploaded >Ready: Upload pending

20 File download (/3) 0 To download a file from your Cloud Drive to your local computer, double-click the file symbol in the Cloud Drive ().

21 File download (/3) Alternatively, you can select a file that you would like to store locally on your computer with a mouse click () and download it with the help of Actions () or by right-clicking the file.

22 File download (3/3) Finish the process for downloading by clicking Download () after selecting Actions or right-clicking the file.

23 Select the data snapshot(/) 3 Your data on the Storebox Cloud Drive is saved automatically on a regular basis; these snapshots are retained for a period of 30 days. You have the possibility to restore such snapshots yourself. To do this, select the directory for which an earlier version is to be restored (). Then click "Latest version" via the dropdown menu ().

24 Select the data snapshot(/) 4 Storebox creates a snapshot each time a change is made in this directory. Select the snapshot from which you would like to restore, for example, a file (). You will now see the directory as it was at the given time. To restore a file proceed as follows: Select the file in the old snapshot, then select -> "Actions" -> click copy -> in the dropdown menu of the current snapshot click the entry "Latest Version" and then select -> "Actions" -> Insert. The file is restored.

25 5 Share / projects

26 Sharing/creating a project (/3) 6 To exchange files with persons within Storebox, go to the projects folder (). To start the process for opening a new project, click New Project ().

27 Sharing/creating a project (/3) 7 Enter the name of the project in the input screen that opens up (). If you want the icon for this project to appear at the same level as the myfiles, public and projects folders in the navigation area (see point in the previous step), activate the box next to Quick Access (). Under Project members (3) you can determine the individual users who are to be allowed to access your project. Click Save (4) to finish the process. 3 4

28 Sharing/creating a project (3/3) 8 Now you can see the previously created project folder in the projects directory (). Doubleclick the project folder () to exchange files with the project members defined in the second step.

29 Storebox invitation (/3) 9 To grant persons without a Storebox account (e.g. outside your company) access to folders or individual files in your Storebox, you can generate an invitation. With an invitation, you can share folders or individual files. To do so, select the contents to be shared by clicking them (). Click Invite Guest (3) to send the invitation to guests. 3

30 Storebox invitation (/3) 30 Define a guest first of all by entering the corresponding address (). You have the possibility to send the guest a message (). In the field "Type" you can define whether the guest only has read rights or whether they are allowed to change content (read, write) (3). In the field "Protection level" you define whether a participant can simply view a document directly (public link), or whether a password needs to be entered (check with ) (4). You can also limit the amount of time that the invitation remains valid (5). Confirm the process by clicking "Invite" (6)

31 Storebox invitation (3/3) 3 You also have the possibility to share files manually. The link to the respective file is retrieved by clicking Get Public Link" ().

32 Withdrawing a Storebox invitation (/) 3 If you no longer need an invitation, you can withdraw it. To withdraw an invitation, go to the My Invitations category (), where you can also see all invitations that you have sent with this account.

33 Withdrawing a Storebox invitation (/) 33 In this list (), you can see when the link will expire and what the file path is in your Cloud Drive. To delete a link and thus the invitation, select the respective row and click Delete (). Click Close (3) to finish the process. 3

35 Installing the Storebox Client(/9) 35 After logging in to the user interface, you can download the Storebox Client under My Account, Install Storebox Client (). Select the version for your operating system in the message window and click Installieren (). In the browser (here: Internet Explorer), click Run (3) as soon as the download is finished. 36 Installing the Storebox Client(/9) 36 You have the possibility to install the client as "Standard" (); if selected, you as an Administrator are solely responsible for the clients usage rights. You can however also install the client as a "Multi-User" (); if selected, the client can be used by multiple users on the same device. To proceed with the installation, accept this message by clicking Next (3). 3

37 Installing the Storebox Client(3/9) 37 In the next step, read the License Agreement. If you agree, accept them by selecting the option I Agree () and click Next () to proceed with the installation.

38 Installing the Storebox Client(4/9) 38 Here you can select the folder in which the Storebox client is to be installed (). Then click "Next" () to continue with the installation.

39 Installing the Storebox Client(5/9) 39 Upon completion of the installation, the Client will appear in the taskbar (), which is usually located in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.

40 Installing the Storebox Client(6/9) 40 An overview for your Storebox client will appear. Click "Continue" to proceed with the installation ().

41 Installing the Storebox Client(7/9) 4 You can now select the first folders and files for the backup (). You can also define the backup schedule now (). Both of these settings can also be configured later on via the web view. You also have the possibility to define a password for your backup data by clicking "Change" (3). 3

42 Installing the Storebox Client(8/9) 4 On this input screen you are asked to define a password. Swisscom recommends using an automatically generated encryption key (). Alternatively, you can define your own password () (not recommended) in order to make sure that you alone can access the backup data. Conclude this step by clicking "Initialize" (3). Attention: If you forget or lose the password, you will no longer be able to access the backup data. You alone are responsible for your password. 3

43 Installing the Storebox Client(9/9) 43 Complete the process by clicking "All Done! ().

44 Sync via Storebox Client (/4) 44 To be able to access the data in Storebox when you are not connected to the Internet, configure the synchronisation. To do so, open the login dialogue by right-clicking the Storebox icon in your taskbar and select the option Settings (). To set up the synchronisation with Storebox, you need the URL of your team portal (specified in the initial ). Enter it along with your user name and password (). Then click Sign In (3). 3

45 Sync via Storebox Client (/4) 45 On the following web page, select Cloud Drive (). Then click Settings ().

46 Sync via Storebox Client (3/4) 46 Under Settings (), select the local folder that is to be synchronised with Storebox. To do so, tick the option () and select a folder in the Explorer (3). Click OK (4) to finish the process. 3 4

47 Sync via Storebox Client (4/4) 47 The screen displayed below can be accessed by clicking the client symbol in the taskbar. Here you can see the synchronisation status as well as the storage space () that is occupied by the synchronisation data. If your Storebox account includes the backup option, you can see when the last backup took place () and whether it was successful (3). 3

48 Connecting smartphones and tablets 48 Apart from the official Swisscom Storebox app that is available on itunes and in Google Play Store, there are numerous other third-party apps that can connect to Storebox with the help of WebDAV. The Quick Guide Storebox Apps provides a list of suitable apps: To the Guide

49 Drive mapping, e.g. Windows 7 (/3) 49 To map a local drive or a local folder to your Storebox Cloud Drive, proceed as follows: Click Start Computer Map network drive ().

50 Drive mapping, e.g. Windows 7(/3) 50 Enter the URL () of your team portal (specified in the initial ) and tick Connect using different credentials () in order to view the dialogue with the login details. Finally, click Finish (3). 3

51 Drive mapping, e.g. Windows 7(3/3) 5 To log in, enter the login details (user name and password) (). If you want the login to take place automatically, tick the box Remember my credentials (). Click OK (3) to proceed. 3

52 5 Backup function (optional)

53 Setting up backups (/6) 53 Click the Storebox Client icon in your taskbar (), which is usually located in the bottom righthand corner of your desktop. In the login view that opens up, enter the URL for your team portal (specified in the initial ), the user name and your password (). Then click Sign in (3). The backup function is optional in Storebox and requires a special licence. 3

54 Setting up backups (/6) 54 To configure the settings of the backup function, click Settings () (right-click the taskbar icon). In the web view that opens up you can select which data is to be backed up to the cloud.

55 Setting up backups (3/6) 55 To select the data in detail, you need to tick the folders to be backed up under Backup Options in Backup Files ().

56 Setting up backups (4/6) 56 Under Backup Sets () you can find predefined backup templates that selectively back up individual file types/groups to Storebox, e.g. all Office documents on your computer. The Comment column () contains a brief description of the types that are backed up.

57 Setting up backups (5/6) 57 Under Schedule () you can define when and how often the backup is to take place: Periodically after a certain time interval, e.g. every 4 hours () or at a particular time or on a particular day (3). 3

58 Setting up backups (6/6) 58 After defining the backup, you can start the backup in the Client by clicking Backup now (). The duration () depends on the amount of data. Here (3) you can see when the last backup took place and whether it was successful. All folders that have been backed up by the Client are marked with a little plus symbol (4). 3 4

59 Backup restore (/3) 59 To restore backup data, open the Client and click Restore ().

60 Backup restore (/3) 60 The Restore Files Wizard will open up. Under Snapshot (), select the date of the backup from which you would like to restore data. Then navigate to the path () of the file or folder that you would like to restore. Tick the respective file or folder (3). Select the target folder that the data is to be restored to under Restore to folder (4). Then click Next (5)

61 Backup restore (3/3) 6 Determine what is to be done with the file to be restored if the target directory contains a nonidentical file with the same name (). Then click Next and subsequently Finish to start the restore process (). A message confirming the successful restore will appear (3). 3

62 Client connection problems 6 If the Client displays the following error message when setting up a connection () and/or the icon in the taskbar indicates a connection error (), please make sure that the following firewall ports are open: 53, 80, 443, 995. Your virus scanner may be blocking the Client. In this case, please check the compatibility with the Storebox Client.
