6 Effectiveness of Leadership and Management Senior and middle leaders to work collaboratively across the STARS federation to provide a high quality education for all children within our schools Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment To improve quality of teaching to outstanding so pupils progress rapidly in all areas of the curriculum Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare To continue to develop children's attitudes to learning to ensure they make rapid progress in reading, writing and maths. Outcomes for Pupils To improve the attainment in reading, writing and maths in line with National Averages by the end of KS2. Page 6 School Development Plan

7 Main Priorities Effectiveness Leadership and Management Senior and middle leaders to work collaboratively across the STARS partnership to provide a high quality education for all children within our schools Objectives Ensure middle leaders have the requisite drive, subject knowledge and motivation to have an impact on quality of teaching in their area and therefore raise achievement Work in partnerships with the STARS collaboration to provide a high quality education for all children Develop the effectiveness of governance and develop their own skills to enable them to hold the school to account To promote and establish Class reps and Friends of Maybury to raise funds for the school To share outstanding EYFS practice to support other schools and model key strengths to schools within STARS Actions Subject leaders to embed new assessment procedures and schemes of work linked to new curriculum Collaborative school improvement with STARS headteachers Network meetings for middle leaders, School Business Managers, Deputy Heads, Home School Link workers, Inclusion Leaders Governors play an active role, Increase first-hand knowledge of the school by attending a wide range of events. Upskill governors through a range of training Develop role of Class reps and set up Friends of Maybury EYFS leader to establish links with Babcock and model exemplary practice Further develop opportunities for parents to engage in children's learning

8 Main Priorities Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment To improve quality of teaching to outstanding so pupils progress rapidly in all areas of the school Objectives To move teaching from good to outstanding Teachers to give all pupils high levels of challenge Develop consistency of precision of advice enabling pupils to make improvements to their work Teachers to have consistently high expectations of children s work Develop internal CPD- peer observations including lesson studies, coaching partners linking to appraisal targets Actions To provide CPD for staff, including observations of outstanding teaching and peer observations To continue with rigorous monitoring giving constructive feedback to staff To ensure children are challenged and have opportunities to deepen their learning Monitoring of marking. Ensuring high quality marking has maximum impact on pupil progress and allows children to move their learning forward Effective differentiation of learning opportunities (targeted learning) effective use and deployment of TAs Extended creative curriculum to include enrichment activities for all learners High expectations on handwriting presentation, develop whole school handwriting policy
