3 Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner & Smartphone App The HILTI ON!Track Solution can be accessed remotely using either the Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner or the camera enabled Smartphone App by anybody who has a valid ON!Track application login. Whilst the Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner and the Smartphone App have very similar functionalities Smartphone can only scan HILTI Tags using the Bar Code scanning via the Smartphone camera. Conversely, the Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner can scan the HILTI Tags using a contactless technology called RFID which uses radio waves. This means it is possible to scan HILTI Tags without line of sight. This is a very powerful technology which allows you to transfer assets or run asset inventory at locations very quickly. On the Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner, it is possible to switch to RFID mode by clicking on the RFID button. This is illustrated below: 1 Most screens will thus be very similar with the main difference that the RFID screens will offer the ability to scan assets using RFID instead. In order to use the RFID option on the Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner screens, just click on the RFID icon. 28 April 2014 Revision Number 112 3/21

5 Get the App on your Android Smartphone If you have an Android 4.0 or above enabled Smartphone, you can download the HILTI ON!Track application from the Google Play Store. You can find the app easily by searching for HILTI ON!Track. You can install the app like any standard app by clicking on Install. You must have a valid ON!Track Application login in order to use the ON!Track Mobile App. 28 April 2014 Revision Number 112 5/21

7 Main Menu High Level view of the ON!Track Mobile App Menu By default the app shows a Tile Menu (left). If you prefer a List Menu (right), go to the settings to change this) Add allows you to register new assets. Transfer allows you to transfer your assets to different location or employees. Acknowledge lets you confirm the delivery of assets transferred to your location. 4 Identify allows you to check the details for an asset (e.g. who is responsible for the asset, where is the asset is supposed to be etc.). 5 View Assets shows you all the assets at your location. 28 April 2014 Revision Number 112 7/21

8 6 7 View Unsync Data shows you the data waiting to be synced with the cloud. Validate allows you to do an inventory check of the assets at your location. 8 Settings allows you to configure the ON!Track Mobile App (e.g. language or location). 9 Logout logs you out! 9 Add How to register new assets s in red are mandatory 1 You can type a Scan Code or Alternate Code on this screen. Alternatively you can click on the Bar code picture to scan a Scan Code. 2 You can enter an Alternate Code here. 3 4 You can add a tool serial number here. Adding the Serial Number of the asset can really help you in the long run (e.g. if the Scan Code gets destroyed, it would be much easier to identify the asset if the Serial Number was entered. You need to select a Scan Code here before you can go to the next screen. 5 You can select a Template Name here Selecting a template helps ensuring the data is in the correct format. 6 You can pick a Manufacturer here. 7 You can type an asset model here. 28 April 2014 Revision Number 112 9/21

10 You can specify the Asset Group for the asset here. You can select the category of the asset you are registering: o Unique Assets o Commodity If you need to use Certificates and Services against your asset, you should track your asset as Unique Asset. If you chose commodity, you will have to confirm how many of this quantity asset you in stock at your location. Default Location is the current location of the asset. This is the person responsible for the asset at the time of the registration. Managed as allows you to specify your relation to the asset. The options are: 1. Owned: you bought and own the asset. 2. Rented: you have rented the asset and need to return it back when the rental 12 agreement terminates. 3. Fleet: you got this asset through the Hilti Fleet Management service and will need to return it back once the Fleet agreement terminates. Contact your Sales representative if you have not heard of Fleet Management before! 4. Loaned: you have loaned the asset. 13 Once on the next screen, you can take a picture of the asset by taping the screen on the drill. 14 In order to register the asset, you must click the save icon! 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

11 Add Specificity with the Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner Adding Assets with RFID You can select remote scanning here (remote scanning using the RFID scanning). By default the 1D mode is activated (Bar Code Scanning). You can press the reader trigger to scan for items. It is easier to use the Bar Code mode to scan the Bar Code. If you are registering a HILTI tool, you should make sure you scan: 1. The Scan Code of the Application (easier in 1D mode) 2. Then switch to Remote Scanning Mode (RFID) to scan again. This will scan for HILTI Internal Tags. Scanning for the HILTI Internal Tag when registering a HILTI Asset will help you as it will automatically get the Serial Number of the asset and all the information about the HILTI Asset (e.g. price information, end of Fleet Contract information etc.). After you ve scanned the Scan Code you can select it by clicking on the Checkbox in the table. If there are multiple tags in the table, selecting a Scan Code will automatically hide all other Scan Codes from the table. Once you have selected a Scan Code in the list, only the HILTI Internal Tags will show in the list. If you are registering a HILTI asset and the HILTI Internal Tag 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

12 does not show, please click on the Remote Scanning option and scan again. This will only display the HILTI Internal Tag. If you find HILTI Internal Tag, make sure you select the correct one by ensuring the Serial Numbers Match. It is easier to find HILTI Internal Tag in HILTI tools if you scan the HILTI tool closely with your reader. Some HILTI tools are not equipped with Internal Tags, if you cannot find a HILTI Internal Tag, it might be because there is none in the tool you are scanning. Make sure you check the Serial Number of the asset if you scan the HILTI Internal Tag. For example, if you scan a cordless SF 14 A, you will most likely find two Internal Tags, one for the Battery and one for the SF 14 A. In this case, you should make sure your select the correct Internal Tag reference. 5 You can then click next and fill the remaining information normally. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

13 Transfer How to transfer assets using the Mobile App 1 You can enter a Scan Code here. You can only transfer Unique Assets and Commodities. 2 You can also tap the bar code on the screen to scan a Scan Code instead If you have added commodities, you can edit the quantity by clicking on their number on the table. Otherwise you can click next to go to the next screen. If you have selected Commodities, you need to select the location the commodities are transferred from. You can search for locations or click more to browse more. Click here to specify the location you want to send the Assets to. Click here to change the Responsible Employee. 7 Click here if you need to specify a Return Date (a date by which you expect the asset to be sent back to you). 8 Click here if you want to add a note. 9 When you are ready to transfer, click on Transfer. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

14 Confirm Delivery How to confirm asset deliveries at your location You can only Confirm the Delivery for the assets at your location. If you cannot see the asset that were sent to you, this can be either because: o The person who sent them did not request the delivery to be acknowledged. o You have changed location and the location in the settings is not the location where you are physically. You can confirm the delivery of some assets by typing their Scan Code. 1 After you ve added a Scan Code manually, any matching asset in the list will be marked as Delivery Confirmed. 2 You can also tap the screen here so that you can simply scan the bar code of the asset you want to mark as to Delivery confirmed. 3 You can also tap the red cross corresponding to the asset you want to confirm the delivery of. This marks this asset with a green tick. 4 Once you are happy with the list of assets to be acknowledged, you can click on Confirm Delivery. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

15 Please note that you have not confirmed any Delivery until you have clicked on the Acknowledge button! Please note that all acknowledgments are added to the history of the asset. This means reports will show you acknowledged this asset. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

16 Identify How to quickly check all relevant information for an asset 1 You can enter the Scan Code for the asset you want to get details on here. 2 You can also tap the bar code on the screen to scan the Scan Code of the asset you want to get details on instead. 3 Once you have added the asset Scan Code to the list, you can select it in the list to display the information relative to the asset. Amongst other, you will know who is responsible for the asset. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

17 View Assets View Assets allows you to see all the assets at your location 1 When you are on the View Asset view, you see all the assets at your location. Selecting one will display the corresponding Asset Information. 2 You can also search for a specific Asset Scan Code through the list. This will filter the list for matching Scan Codes. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

18 View UnsyncData Information on unsynchronised data 1 2 The data that is not yet synchronised with the ON!Track cloud will show here. Data should be synchronised every few seconds so this list should often be empty. If you do not have network, the list could have more items until you are back online however. Any synchronisation issue will be displayed in the notifications. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

19 Check Inventory ON!Track Check Inventory allows you to easily verify the stock at a location When you are on the Check Inventory screen, you see all the locations of your company. 1 You need to browse to the location you want and click on it to start Checking the Inventory at this location. You can expand a node to display sub-location by clicking on the + in front of the Location Name. 2 When assets at a given location have been downloaded, the Download icons is displayed in green. 3 When you are on the Check Inventory screen, you see all the assets that are supposed to be at the location you ve selected. To start checking the inventory, click on the icon on top of the screen. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

20 4 5 6 On the Check Inventory Screen: o The Asset that were checked (confirmed physically present at the location) are identified with the green tick. o The Assets that are to be checked are identified with the red cross. o The Assets that were found but are not registered on the system as being at the Location you are at are identified with a yellow question mark Once you have started the Inventory Check, you can enter a scan code or alternate code here. o If the code matches an asset at the location, it will be validated (i.e. you will have confirmed the asset is indeed at the location). o If the code does not match any asset at the location it will be added on the unknown list (the yellow question mark). You can also scan the assets to check them. Validating with the Hilti ON!Track AI S1/4 Scanner is much faster than with a Smartphone! Once you have checked all the assets at your location, you can the results. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21

21 Settings How to configure your Hilti ON!Track Mobile App 1 You can select your location here. Your location will affect which assets you see in View Assets or in Acknowledge. 2 You can select your language here. 3 You can configure whether you prefer the Tile Menu or the List menu here. 4 When you changed your location or language, you must click on Save in order for your changes to take effect. 28 April 2014 Revision Number /21
