7 Screen engl. Simple, quick, mobile. 1 Book the car you want. Simply book the car you want online, via telephone, at your local Europcar station, travel agent or via a rental car broker. You will need the following information and documents to hire a car: Choose top-up insurance to suit you. Check and sign your rental contract. Check the car for any existing damage. Familiarise yourself with the vehicle controls. Our service team employees will be happy to help. We wish you a good journey! Your dates and times of travel Your current international driving licence 1 A valid credit card 2 Please name all drivers when making your reservation. 3 Return your car. Please return your car at the agreed time. 2 Pick up your car. Please have the following documents ready: reservation number, international driving licence 1, passport, credit card 2, printed voucher from your travel agent or rental car broker. Please fill the tank before returning your car. Return your car to the agreed station. Make sure you take all your personal belongings out of the car! The vehicle will be checked for damage after you have returned it. The fuel gauge will be checked. 1 Customers who are resident outside the EU require an international driving licence which they have held for at least a year or a country driving licence with sworn translation. 2 The name on the credit card must be the same as the given driver s name.

Theft protection inclusive. Passenger cover Increases cover amount for disability and death in case of an at-fault accident. Payment method Voucher (when booking via a broker, travel agent or other travel operator) must be presented in printed form. In addition to the voucher, you must also present a valid credit card as a second payment method (e.g. for accessories such as navigation systems or child seats). The name on the credit card must be the same as the given driver s name. Cross-border regulations Please note that there are restrictions on driving to other countries and your insurance will be invalid if you do so. Please find out what travel restrictions apply before you travel and let us know what route you are planning on taking. We would be happy to advise you. There are no restrictions on travelling to the neighbouring countries of Switzerland and Austria. One-way service Please note that this service is not available in all vehicle categories for certain countries. Damage If any damage is caused to the car or if you have an accident, please report this immediately to Europcar. You can find the documents you need to do so in the glove compartment of your vehicle. If you have any questions, our 24-hour emergency service is at your disposal. Charges and tolls Any road charges (e.g. vignettes) and toll charges are to be paid by the hirer of the car. Driving licence classes Customers resident outside the EU require an international driving licence which they have held for at least a year or a country driving licence with sworn translation. Minimum age There is a minimum age for some of our vehicle categories. Please enquire whether there are any age restrictions when booking. Fee for young drivers Obligatory for drivers under 23 years of age. Applies when hiring a car abroad for drivers under 25 (26 in Denmark). Registration document The registration document serves as the vehicle s identification and must be kept in the car at all times. In our cars, it is kept in the glove compartment. 15 German motorways When driving across Germany, please remember the following rules and guidelines: Traffic guidance by police officers has priority over all signs and rules. Traffic lights have priority over traffic signs. Traffic signs have priority over general traffic rules. Seat belts are a legal requirement for both front and rear passengers. The priority rule is right before left : at crossroads and T-junctions, those coming from the right generally have priority unless there are traffic signs that state otherwise. If your vehicle is equipped with winter tires, you will find information on maximum permitted speeds on the dashboard. Child seats are a legal requirement in Germany: children who are smaller than 150 cm must be seated in a child seat up to the end of their 12th year. We have baby and child seats for all ages available at our stations. Alcohol limits for car drivers: in Germany, the limit is 0.5 mg. Please do not drink alcohol if you know you will have to drive.
