6 RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the formal acknowledgment of your current skills and knowledge obtained through previous life experiences, education and training or work experience (paid and unpaid). It does not depend upon how, when, where or why the skills and knowledge were obtained. RPL assessment can result in credit for a unit within a course, or entry to a course.
