2 EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION The East Hartford YMCA offers State licensed and NAEYC Accredited programs in the area of early childhood, preschool and school readiness. The goal of our child development programs is to nurture young people by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-confidence. The YMCA of Greater Hartford uses the Early Learning Development Standards (ELDS) for infant, toddler and preschool children developed by the Connecticut Department of Education. EAST HARTFORD YMCA S BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE The East Hartford YMCA s fully state licensed School Age Child Care Programs offers quality care and enrichment for elementary-age age children in a safe, secure environment. Our program provides children with the opportunity to engage in meaningful relationships with other children and teachers. It encourages children to participate in activities and experiences to benefit them socially, emotionally and physically. We place a special emphasis on the YMCA s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility in or- der to help children grow in spirit, mind, and body. We offer enrichment that appeals to children while teaching confidence, encouraging self-expression, expression, and enriching social development all under the watchful eyes of our fully trained and cause driven teachers.

Emphasis of this league is participation and fun! Each week, a new skill will be introduced and will be reinforced through fun games. Sportsmanship and values are key components of this league. It's a progressive program, with multiple age-specific levels. Every child gets to play and the games are safe, exciting and fun. Ages 3 5 Saturdays 10:30AM 11:30AM Winter Session 1 Ages 6 8 Saturdays 11:45AM 12:45PM Winter Session 1 Program Fee: $55.00 Jiu-Jitsu Jujitsu is a self-defense program that develops the participant s self-confidence, self-discipline, and physical fitness. Ages 4 16 Monday and Wednesdays 6:00 7:00PM Winter Session 1 Spring Session 1 Ages 16 + Monday and Wednesdays 7:00 8:00PM Winter Session 1 Spring Session 1 Program Fee: $75.00 Youth Basketball Emphasis is on fun, equal participation, teamwork and sportsmanship. Participants will learn the fundamental basics: dribbling, passing, defense and shooting. Ages 3-5 Saturdays 11:00AM 12:00PM Spring Session 1 Program Fee: $55.00

Teen & Adult Programs Youth and Teen Center The East Hartford YMCA is proud to offer teens, pre-teens and families within the community a fun and safe outlet to go after school. Our drop-in program offers a balance of structured and leisure based activities that allow teens to be themselves and have a place to develop and maintain friendships with kids their age. Amenities include a pool table, open gym basketball, Xbox, computer lab, air hockey and more! Participants are welcome to enjoy up to 3 hours a day. Ages: 8-16 Program Fee: $25 monthly Open Monday-Friday 2:30pm-8:00pm Zumba Try adding a little spark to your week by combining high energy and motivating music with fun moves and combinations!
