When there aren t a sufficient number of riders to complete in a class, one or more classes are combined. Where one or more classes are combined due to a low number of registered riders, points are allocated to each rider based on how they would place in their regular class. However, the Award of the Day will be awarded based on the outcome of that particular day, not based on how the rider would have been placed in their regular class. For Example: Two Intermediate riders are grouped together with three Expert riders. The points will be given as first and second to the Intermediate riders in their class and to the first, second and Junior Female & Elite Female 1 Cycling BC (BMX)

2 third to the Expert riders in their class and the Award of the Day will be given by their actual order of finish for that day. BC Cup Series Placing: The rider with the most points in their category will be awarded C Cup Champion. The rider must complete 4 of the 8 races and race the BC Cup Finals to qualify for an overall standing. In the event of a tie between two or more riders, the rider who places the highest at the BC Cup Finals will be awarded BC Cup Champion. BC Cup Awards for the Day: All Amateur Classes will receive an Award of the Day. The Award of the Day will be a choice between trophy and Moto money. BC Cup Track Attack Points: BC Cup Races: Count for double the track attack points. BC Cup Finals: Count for triple the track attack points. Wins: Count as one win. BC Cup Race Payouts: Elite Riders: Get the Rider Purse plus 100% registration payback.* Junior Riders: Get the Rider Purse plus 100% registration payback.* Masters Riders: Get 100% registration payback.* *Note: All Registration paybacks are paid out at the pre-registration rate, and minimum prize purse is $250. BC Cup Year End Plates & Awards: Qualification: 1. Top 4 of 8 Races and Finals count towards year---end number plates and overall award 2. Must race min. of 4 races and the Finals to be eligible to earn number plates and awards 3. BC Cup Finals is a double points race 4. Year-end award plates are awarded to top 8 riders in each class Plates & Awards: Distribute 1 through 8 per age and class. Age Group Awards: Distribute 1 award to rider with the highest points in each age group. Highest Overall Points Awards from all Events: Distribute 4 #1 Overall Highest Points Awards: Male & Female and Male & Female Cruiser. BC Cup Team Competition: Cycling BC has 2 levels of Team Competition at BC Cup Provincial Events: Factory & Trophy Teams. Factory Teams & Trophy Teams: Factory Teams will be made up from athletes on a team roster and will be competing for money and year-end provincial team title. Trophy Teams are made upon the day with 5 athletes making a team. They will compete for an Award of the Day. Factory teams do not need to have sponsorship or support. They can be made up of any 5 to 10 riders. We have also added the opportunity for factory teams to pick up a Novice or Intermediate athlete for an event. 4 Factory Teams Rules: 1. Each Factory Team must submit a team roster, when entering their team for the first time. Teams can be up to 10 athletes, with a min of 1 Novice/Intermediates and 1 Female. Additions to roster must be made prior to registration ending on the day. 2. Novice/Intermediate athletes do not have to be on the team s roster, they can be selected the day from anyone registered. 3. Any athletes registered with a team can t race for a different team for a period of 4 weeks from last competition. Athletes can only change teams once in a season. 4. Each team can enter up to 2 team sheets, per event. 5. Each team sheet must have 2 of 3: 1 female or 1 cruiser or 1 Novice/Intermediate (do not have to be on roster) 6. Team must compete in 4 of 8 events, plus the finals to qualify for year-end awards. When entering 2 teams at one event, only the best will count for year-end points. 7. Entry fee $10 8. Expert points will be awards to teams for year-end 9. Awards: Money, *3 teams required for payout 10. Top 3 Get Payout: 1st gets 50% ($75), 2 nd gets 30% ($45) and 3 rd gets 20% ($30). Trophy Teams Rules: 1. Get 5 friends together to race for a team trophy. 2. Athletes can t be on a Factory Team. 3. Athletes on a team sheet can change from event to event. 4. No year-end prizing. 5. Entry Fee $2. 6. Top 3 awarded trophies. RULES THAT APPLY TO ALL TEAMS: 1. SCORING: Athletes receive points as they finish motos and final finish, the lowest 4 of 5 athletes count to the Team Score; the lowest Team Score wins. 2. If an athlete is racing in 2 classes, they can be entered on a team sheet twice. 3. If an athlete races in a class combined of a high proficiency will be scored with team points from the table of the higher proficiency. 4. Team Sheet entries must be turned in between the rider s list being posted before motos are posted. 5. Team Sheets must be turned in no later than 15 minutes following the event. 6. Winners of Saturday s competition will participate in Sunday s Flag Lap. Year-End for Factory Team Qualifications: 1. Top 4 of 8 Races + Finals count towards year-end number plates and overall awards. 2. Must race a minimum of 4 Races + Finals to be eligible to earn number plates and awards. 3. 5 BC Cup Protests & Appeals: Race Results: Protests concerning the results of any first---round moto will be accepted for a period of 15 minutes following the results from that moto being posted. In any case, no protests can be accepted once the mottos for any main or semi-main in that class have been posted. The results from any main or semi-main can only be appealed within 15 minutes of the main or semi-main being run. Once the Chief Commissaire has declared the results of any BMX event as final, no changes to those results will be made. It is the responsibility of participants or their parent / guardian to examine posted race results for accuracy. Series Points: Protests or appeals concerning series points will be accepted until 7 days prior to the series final. If an error has been made in the tabulation of points, it will be corrected. No changes to the series points will be made for the appeals concerning the results of individual races. Finals Series Standings: Appeals to the final series standings for series points will be accepted for a period of 15 days after the series final. If an error has been made in the tabulation of points, it will be corrected. No changes to series points will be made for appeals concerning the results of individual races. In the event that changes to the results of either series are made during this 15 day period, those affected by such changes are required to exchange any awarded plates or trophies as defined by the changes made to the series results. 5 Cycling BC (BMX)
