2 Exercise Class Descriptions 20/20: This 45-minute class combines twenty minutes of cardio conditioning with twenty minutes of strength training for a great full body workout in a single class. Training format and equipment will vary each week. Balance Training: As we age, our balance naturally begins to diminish. Exercise can help us maintain, improve and even prevent balance loss. This class will address ways of preventing a fall through: improved posture, increased muscular strength, improved agility & coordination and increased self-confidence. Ball Conditioning: Join us for this head-to-toe workout using the stability ball. This class focuses not only on muscular strength and flexibility, but also on balance, coordination and core conditioning. Boxing Fusion: Designed to accommodate all fitness levels and abilities, this 45-minute high intensity circuit training class utilizes basic punches and kicks to provide a great workout in a short amount of time. F.I.T. Body: Fitness-focused Interval Training combining cardio, bodyweight strength training and yoga moves. Fit & Fab: This 45-minute high energy workout incorporates a variety of different training techniques and a wide range of exercise equipment (including body weight) to get you looking and feeling fit and fabulous. H.I.I.T. and MIXX: High Intensity Interval Training using a variety of class formats and a mix of exercise equipment. This class is guaranteed to kick your workouts into overdrive and burn maximum calories and fat! Kettlebell Blast: A total body conditioning class using kettlebells to target cardio, strength and core. Low Impact Aerobics: Pop and Latin music set the stage for this fun and easy-to-follow class that combines low impact aerobic moves with simple dance steps for a great cardio workout. Circuit: Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head-to-toe stretching and complete relaxation in a comfortable position. Classic: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Yoga: This class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Strengthen & Stretch: Improve your muscle tone and range of movement in this senior friendly class that is open to all ages and abilities. Class consists of 30-minutes of strengthening followed by 15-minutes of stretching. : Using basic cardio moves that anyone can master, this class is fun, effective and easy on the joints. Walk your way fit with this low impact workout that includes a toning segment and relaxing stretch. Zumba : With easy-to-follow dance steps and hot Latin music, the Zumba dance-fitness program is more than a workout - it s a party! So come and join the party dance, express yourself and get fit while you have fun! Mind-Body Classes Tai Chi for Health: Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese art of gentle, flowing movement that is known for its health benefits. Regular practice can prevent pain and stiffness, lower blood pressure, improve balance and increase energy. This program can be done seated or standing and several class options are available on the schedule. The Beginner class is an introductory course for new participants. The Seated class is an introductory course performed seated in a chair. The Tai Chi class is open to both beginning level and experienced participants. Gentle Yoga: A slow, focused hatha yoga class designed to not only enhance muscular strength and range of movement, but improve mental clarity and minimize stress as well.
3 Hatha Yoga: A mixed-level yoga class that is great for beginners as well as experienced yoga practitioners. Yin Yoga: A slow-paced style of yoga that emphasizes long held poses designed to target the fascia and deep connective tissues of the body to improve flexibility and stimulate energy flow through the body, heart and mind. Yoga for a Healthy Back: This yoga class is designed to reduce chronic back pain and fatigue through a series of stretching and strengthening exercises that target the postural muscles of the body. Yoga for Stronger Bones: Comprised of mostly standing poses, this weight bearing yoga class is designed to stimulate bone growth, improve posture and balance, enhance coordination and increase strength/range of motion. Yoga~Pilates Fusion: Using movements derived from both yoga and Pilates, this fusion program is built around a progressive series of exercises designed to increase strength, flexibility and balance of the entire body. Aquatic Classes : Maximizing the buoyancy and resistance of water, this low impact, high-energy workout includes a 30-minute aerobic segment followed by muscle conditioning exercises, balance work and stretching. Aqua Balance: A warm water pool is the ideal location for training and improving balance. The buoyancy of water provides full body support while the density and fluidity create continuous resistance and challenge. WaterWorks: The ideal class for those looking for a moderate aerobic workout (20 minutes, low to moderate intensity), with a greater focus on body movement, muscle conditioning, balance work and stretching. A Splash Pass must be presented to the instructor when attending an aquatic workout. This pass guarantees your participation in the class. Passes are available at the front desk 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of each class (15 minutes prior for non-members). You will receive your Splash Pass upon registration of the workout. Passes will not be distributed after the start of class. Power Cycling Classes (Attention New Riders: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class for bike set up/orientation.) Cycle 30/45/60: Offered in 30, 45 or 60-minute durations, our cycling classes will challenge riders on flat roads and in the hills with speed work, strength work and drills. Appropriate for all fitness levels and abilities, these classes provide a great workout with lots of variety. New to indoor cycling? Join us for Cycle:30 on Monday evenings from 5:00-5:30pm. Cycle Fusion: Get a full body workout in this fusion-style class that combines on-the-bike cardio with off-thebike strength training. H.I.I.T the Road: High Intensity Interval Training hits the road in this power packed cycling class guaranteed to shift your workout into high gear and produce quick results. A Water Bottle, Towel and Bike Shorts are strongly recommended! A Ticket to Ride must be presented to the instructor when attending a power cycling workout. This ticket guarantees your seat on the next ride. Tickets are available at the front desk 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of each class (15 minutes prior for non-members). You will receive your Ticket to Ride upon registration of the workout. Tickets will not be distributed after the start of class. Delay the Disease: OhioHealth s Delay the Disease exercise program is designed to empower people living with Parkinson s disease by optimizing their physical function and helping to delay the progression of symptoms. Kombat Kickboxing: An intense training program combining self-defense maneuvers with kickboxing skills.

Incentive Programs Winter Weight-Off: Our new Winter Weight-Off weight loss challenge is designed to motivate participants to shed those unwanted pounds and improve their health and fitness. Two-person teams will compete against each other to see who can lose the greatest percentage of body weight during the 12-week program. The top 3 teams, in terms of relative weight loss, will win cash prizes. For more details, contact any member of the staff. (This 6-week program is held at the Ontario Health & Fitness Center) 6-Week Session: January 10 February 16, 2017 Class Times: $25.00 Non- $50.00 plus tax Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00-11:00am OR Tuesdays & Thursdays Kombat Kickboxing: Learn basic self-defense and kickboxing techniques that are fun and easy to perform in this 7-week martial arts based program. Class consists of thirty minutes of self-defense knowledge and application followed by a high intensity kickboxing workout. Limited class size allows participants to work 1-on- 1 with the instructor and in small groups incorporating drills, technique training and combat specific plyometrics. A structured program of cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance training can help to
