Tampere is a historical city in many senses - the city has a significant industrial history and also the story of Finnish ice hockey started from Tampere in 1920s. Preparation for tournament has been concluded and finally it s time to concentrate on what matters the most, championship of NSC Tournament will gather peoples attention all around Tampere. This hockey event separates grains from husks. Best of the best ice hockey teams in Scandinavian technology of universities are invited. NTNUI Flyers (NOR), Chalmers Blue McRangers (SWE), HKL Make Believes (SWE), StiL Hockey (SWE), Pus- Hockey (FIN) thank you all for coming. I wish you all good luck for the games and I hope you enjoy staying at Tampere. The main cause of this publication is to give information about other teams, advertise our sponsors and form a bigger picture of our tournament. Time depends on contact person and game schedulde All teams leave Scandic Hotel to Teekkarisauna Sauna, hot tube, beer and dinner at Teekkarisauna. We sell beer so you don t have to bring your own beer. Day s results and man of the match All teams leave to party at Fatlady Thursday Leisure time Dinner at Koskiravintolat Party games, Sauna, drinking beer and day s results and man of the match at Sorin Klubi All teams leave to party at Ruma Friday Preparation for Banquet Time when you can make yourself handsome for the ladys Preparty at Mallashovi Banquet at Juvenes Ziberia Afterparty at Koskiravintolat

13 Game information Arena rules Be discreet with the alcohol at the arena area, use water bottles etc. We are not allowed to drink alcohol in the arena There might be children at the rink, so pay attention to your behavior No beer cans at the rink, throw them in the locker room Be dressed in time to your games After the last game each day, put your things in the storage room that you have been ordered Act nicely to the staff you meet at the arena area Game rules Game time is 2*15 minutes 2 minutes penalties 5 minutes warm up (show up 5 minutes before game time) Period break of 2 minutes In case of draw in the playoffs, a shoot out will decide the winner. Tournament staff decides what to do in case of lack of time. Locker and storage rooms will be set later but your specific contact person will let you know when you arrive.

14 NSC 2014 information General You will be staying at Scandic Hotel Station. There s no need to bring your own sheets. Check in time is so all teams will be playing their first game before checking in. You will be notified when to you re able to check in when the tournament start (it will likely be after your latest game of the day). The tournament will be played at Hervanta ice rink, rink 2 (When you come inside to ice rink it s rink on the right. See direction how to find Hervanta ice rink further down. There will be a grill at the arena open from where we ll sell sausage, soda and coffee. Remember we can t take credit card so bring euros if you want some breakfast/lunch. You can bring your own beer to Teekkarisauna on Wednesday and to Sorin Klubi on Thursday but at both places we will sell beer very cheap (1-2 )so you don t need to bring any. To banquet you can t bring your own alcohol or they will throw you out without a warning. Remember to prepare your rookies for the banquet. Also send us the music you would like to have for your show! 15 Hotel The hotel is located in the centrum of Tampere with walking distance to the main street (about 1km). To the ice rink you must go with own cars or with city busses (Bus 23). Check-in at the hotel will take place at Check-out must take place before Breakfast is served At it must be quiet at the rooms and in the corridors. No alcohol may be consumed in the reception or in the corridors keep it in the rooms. Please remember that there are other guests who stay at the hotel as well. We can t take responsibility if you guys will be thrown out from the hotel. If you come with your own cars, here is hotels information about parking: We can offer 53 parking spaces, subject to charge, for hotel guests in our own car park. 3 of the parking spaces are reserved for those who need disabled parking. The parking fee is EUR 2 per hour and EUR 18 per night. The address of our car park is Murtokatu 2. Additional parking is available in nearby streets and other car parks around Tampere city.
