We officially opened in September CNA-Q fills the State s need for graduates who have hands-on training in their field of study and are ready to start work right away. Competitions international Business case competition CNA-Q has hosted this event every year since In teams, students analyze a case study and present their recommendations to judges from the business community. CNA-Q has hosted teams from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Canada. Business Plan competition This event is hosted by the Enterpreneurship Centre at CNA-Q. Students present a business idea and how they would make it a reality. Finalist teams participate in the national Al Fikra Business Plan Competition, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. Keyboarding speed award All Office Administration students are eligible for this award. The fastest typists on in-class assignments receive certificates each semester, with a trophy awarded each year. cna-q skills competition All CNA-Q students are invited to participate in the annual CNA-Q Skills Competition. There are 30 + categories, ranging from Public Speaking to Keyboarding and Document Production. Real work experience All Business Studies programs include a work exposure so that you have real work experience when you graduate. Depending on your program, work exposures are either 2 weeks, 3 weeks or 6 weeks. Your career path All Accounting, Human Resource Management and Marketing students take a series of courses called Student, Career and Portfolio Development. These courses enable the student to: Build a resume and a portfolio Complete self and career assessments Develop interpersonal skills such as conflict management and teamwork By the time you graduate, you will understand more about how your education and career will help build your future.

Research initiatives Students have the opportunity to conduct research projects with instructors at CNA-Q. Some projects are funded by the Qatar National Research Fund under the Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP). Start your own business The Entrepreneurship Centre at CNA-Q is available to all College students. If you have a business idea, come visit us for advice and resources. CNA-Q has hosted an international BuSiNeSS CASe CoMPetitioN every year since 2008 Part-time studies The School of Business Studies also offers many Continuing Education courses to the community and Corporate Training courses tailored to industry needs. Here s what you will need: Completed application form Pick one up at the Registrar s Office in Building 1 or download it from the College website at: Documents/CNAQ_application_form.pdf official copy of secondary school grades If you have not attended a State school, we will provide you with a letter to take to the Ministry of Education to validate your grades. Copy of passport photo page Copy of Qatar National identification Card letter of sponsorship from the sponsoring organization (if applicable) Processing fee of 100 Qr note: Students must be legal residents of Qatar and possess a Residency Permit ID number in order to be eligible to apply to the College.

21 Entrance requirements High school graduation certificate with the following: Average Minimum 60% English Language (Grade 12 level) Academic Mathematics (Grade 12 level) OR Advanced Mathematics (Grade 12 level or equivalent) Three additional courses at the Grade 12 level office administration High school graduation certificate only Minimum 60% Minimum 60% Minimum 50% How to apply and register Just follow these 4 easy steps: 1. Submit your application (please refer to the Application checklist on the opposite page). 2. Write our entrance examination (English and Math placement test). 3. Wait to hear from the College if you have been accepted to your program. 4. Register for your program during the scheduled registration time at the beginning of each semester. Note: Students in their final year of high school will be accepted conditionally pending receipt of final exam results. Note: Qatari Nationals 19 years of age or older who do not meet the entrance requirements for this program may be considered on an individual basis under the Mature Student Clause. 20
