3 Overview Security Settings in Internet Explorer This Help Sheet is for Users who have difficulties logging into V-Wrap or downloading reports and spreadsheets. The difficulties could be caused by the security settings in Windows XP - Service Pack 2 requiring the adjustments described in this Help Sheet. Internet Explorer Security Settings Complete the following steps to change your security settings in Internet Explorer. 1. Open Internet Explorer. 2. Select Tools, then select Internet Options, as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1 3. In the screen shown in Figure 2 that displays, select the Security tab. 4. Then click on the Trusted Sites icon, as shown in Figure On the same screen, then click the Sites button. Figure 2 Page 3 of 9
4 6. In the Add this website to the zone box, shown in Figure 3 enter the following text: Click Add then enter the text *.praemium.com.au and then click Add again. Then enter the text *.praemium.biz The two sites should display as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3 7. Click the Add button. 8. In the screen shown in Figure 3, make sure that the box for Require server verification.. is unchecked. 9. Click the Close button. Pop-Up Blocker Settings Users with Pop-Up Blocker functionality in Internet Explorer will also need to add adjust the following settings for V-Wrap: 1. Select Tools from the Internet Explorer menu, then Pop-up Blocker and then Pop-up blocker Settings option, as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4 2. In the screen shown in Figure 5, in the Address of Web site to allow box, enter the following text: Page 4 of 9
5 *.praemium.com.au and then click Add again. Then enter the text *.praemium.biz and click Add again. The two sites should display in the Allowed Sites box, as shown in Figure In the Filter Level drop down box ensure that the filter level is set to low, as shown in Figure 5. Figure 5 4. The notification and filter level settings can be left blank or checked, depending on your preference. 5. Click the Close button to complete the changes to Pop-up Blocker settings. Enabling Cookies If the error message that Cookies are being blocked displays, you will need to enable cookie handling. Complete the following steps to enable cookies: 1. Click on Internet Options, Privacy tab, then click on the Advanced button. 2. Click the Override automatic cookie handling checkbox 3. Then click on Accept First-party cookies and Accept Third-party cookies as shown in Figure 6. Page 5 of 9
6 Figure 6 4. Click the OK button to save your settings. Yahoo and Google Toolbars If you have a Yahoo or Google Toolbar installed, you will need to check the following settings are applied. Yahoo Toolbar To disable the Pop-Up Blocker for Yahoo Toolbar, click on the blue and yellow box to the right of the Search box, as shown in Figure 7. Figure 7 When the menu shown in Figure 8 displays, make sure the tick to the left of Enable Pop-Up Blocker is not showing. This disables the Pop-Up Blocker. Figure 8 Google Toolbar To disable the Pop-Up Blocker for the Google Toolbar, click on the 0 blocked button as shown in Figure 9. 7 Other things to check If you have made the above adjustments to Internet Explorer, and you are still experiencing problems, you may need to look at the following settings as well: If you log on via a third party website, you will need to add the address of that website to the trusted sites list (e.g. as described Internet Explorer Settings section of this document. You may also need to allow downloads. To do this, click on Internet Options, then the Security tab, then Trusted Sites, then click on the Custom Level button, as shown in Figure 11. 8 1. Scroll down to the Downloads section and enable all the options as shown in Figure 12. Figure Locate the Miscellaneous section and make sure the pop-up blocker is set to Enable as shown in Figure 13. Figure Click the OK button to save the settings. 4. Close any Internet Explorer windows that are open before logging back on. Page 8 of 9
