1 Submitta MSDS Guide Specifications Description Knauf Friendy Fee Duct Wrap with KwiStretch Marings is a therma and acoustica insuation made from highy resiient, inorganic gass fibers bonded by a thermosetting resin. It is avaiabe unfaced, with a mutipurpose foi-scrim raft (FSK) jacet and with a white or bac metaized poypropyene-scrim-raft () jacet. Vapor retarders have a staping fange on one edge, and the factory-appied facing assures uniform quaity. KwiStretch Marings on the stape fange aow for easy and accurated job site measurement. Appication Knauf Friendy Fee Duct Wrap with KwiStretch Marings is used as an externa insuation on commercia or residentia heating or air conditioning ducts. It is suitabe for the exterior of rectanguar or round sheet meta ducts and spaces, or surfaces where temperature and condensation must be controed. 3 Protect stored insuation from water damage, construction damage, and other abuse. If stored outside, proper protection from weather conditions shoud be provided. Preparation Insta Knauf Friendy Fee Duct Wrap with KwiStretch Marings over cean, dry sheet meta ducts. A sheet meta joints and seams must be seaed to prevent air eaage from the duct. Appication Insta Knauf Friendy Fee Duct Wrap with KwiStretch Marings with facing to the outside to obtain specified R-vaue using a maximum of 25% compression. Butt a insuation joints firmy together. Unfaced Duct Wrap shoud be overapped a minimum of and fastened with 4" (102 mm) to 6" (152 mm) nais or sewers paced 4" (102 mm) apart, or secured with a wire or banding system. Care must be taen to avoid damaging the duct wrap. Instaation Procedures Use the tabe beow to determine stretch-outs required for the nomina insuation thicness to imit average compression of the insuation to 25% or ess. Use KwiStretch Marings on the FSK or stape fange to speed measurement of duct wrap.
