1 Youth Football Equipment Grant Equipment Grant The Carolina Panthers and Academy Sports + Outdoors are excited to offer $5,000 in football equipment grants that will provide new football equipment for youth football programs in the Carolinas. Youth football programs applying for this grant must be a USA Football s Heads Up Football (HUF) program or have signed up and committed to running HUF in We will confirm each team s HUF participation with USA Football. With the increase in football participation rates and decrease in team budgets, our organizations wanted to assist in providing an opportunity to still get much needed football equipment for the 2014 season. Our organizations are committed to building the sport of football at every level in the Carolinas and this grant will help provide: New and advanced equipment Increased awareness and participation of youth football throughout the Carolinas Reinforced commitment that the Carolina Panthers and Academy Sports + Outdoors have for our youth football community The Carolina Panthers Football Equipment Grant enables youth football organizations to apply for the following grant: The Panthers & Academy Sports & Outdoors will award five (5) Equipment Grants, each with a retail value of approximately $1,000. Team Bonus: Every team that applies for this grant will be eligible to receive: 1. $1,000 in FREE equipment from Academy Sports & Outdoors. 2. $2,000+ in FREE Panthers preseason tickets. 3. Opportunity to participate in the Panthers Rookie Heads Up Football Play 60 Event. a. The Panthers 2014 rookie class will be your coach at a one day football camp! 4. Opportunity for your coach to win the Panthers Youth Football Coach of the Week! 5 YOUTH FOOTBALL COACH OF THE WEEK NOMINATION FORM The Carolina Panthers are proud to honor youth football coaches, tackle or flag, through the Carolina Panthers Youth Football Coach of the Week program. Youth football league administrators, parents and community members in North and South Carolina are encouraged to nominate youth football coaches in their area who make substantial impacts on the sport of youth football through their volunteer efforts. The Panthers will select ten (10) coaches during the course of the football season. Each winning coach will receive Panthers tickets, sideline passes, Panthers gift pack, a commemorative and personalized game ball while also being honored during a special on-field ceremony during a Carolina Panthers home game. All youth football coaches in the Carolinas are eligible regardless of their team size, league or division. Coaches are evaluated based on their success on the field, but more importantly, off the field as well. We look for coaches who are making a positive impact on their players and community. Coaches, nor their immediate family members, may nominate themselves.
