Working cross collaboratively on schemes such as Alumni International Placements & International Bursaries has been rewarding. It has also meant I have developed an understanding and acquired knowledge on colleagues activities and how we can work smarter and more efficiently as one. This means that we can signpost and provide information on each other s activities. 05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield

Global Opps Ambassadors Help with promotion, blogs, feedback I have really enjoyed being a Student Exchange Ambassador, as it has given me the chance to share my study abroad experience with future students thinking of studying in another country. It has been nice to give back to those who helped me make the life changing decision. The role has also enabled me to gain various new skills in preparation for events, public speaking and promotion, which are all great to pass on to future job roles". 05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
Miranda Badminton, Law student Summer School at the University of Prague, followed by a year at the University of Utrecht I have always been interested in cultural diversity and being able to see things from different perspectives. Attending the summer school has definitely confirmed this and as I enjoyed it so much has made me think about a year abroad to study. 05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
The opportunities that the University of Sheffield offers to students seems to be unrivalled and this year has been an absolutely fantastic experience. The people I have met, the places I have travelled and living in Utrecht itself has been amazing right from the beginning. I knew from studying in Prague through the summer school global scholarship scheme that a year abroad would be something I'd enjoy, as the only downside to the summer school was I wanted to it be longer! Although it can be daunting to apply for a year abroad, its definitely something I'd encourage others to do. The summer scheme really encouraged me to take part in Erasmus and I'm really 05/05/2016 glad The University I have of Sheffield done both.
Michael Powell-Davies, English student Summer School at Seoul National University, followed by a year at the University of New Mexico I was placed into a culture that I had never experienced before which forced me to learn how to adapt to the new lifestyle. I experienced so many things that I had never before, and many of them were things I had never even expected to. Met a lot of great people from all over the world. 05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
South Korean culture and society is incredibly different to that of the UK and the experience of learning how to adapt and get on in that environment was great practice that made it even easier to immediately fit in with life in America. Albuquerque on the other hand feels pretty empty compared to Seoul or places I m used to at home like Sheffield or London but because I am out here for so long I have had the opportunity to explore several different states and cities outside of where I am studying and have many more lined up to visit when term ends. 05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
Classes at my summer school were easier than my classes here in the US. Part of this was down to the fact that my summer school was internationally focused so the majority of people did not speak English as their first language and this was a huge advantage to have in classes. Furthermore, the classes at the summer school were incredibly interesting as I was able to study areas that would not be available on my English Literature course. Here in the US, classes are more focused to my specific degree. Having the balance of fun studying in a more relaxed setting over the summer and then the more focused academic studying on the year abroad is a great pairing. 05/05/2016 The University of Sheffield
