For more information about us, please visit our website at In conjunction with our member organisation, Queen s University Belfast, CBBC is currently looking to recruit a candidate for the following position, which will be based in Guangzhou: Digital and Marketing Executive Queen s University Belfast, Gaungzhou Queen s University Belfast is a world-class international university which supports outstanding students and staff, working in world-class facilities, conducting leadingedge education and research focused on the needs of society. Digital and Marketing Executive Queen s University Belfast, Gaungzhou The Role To work as part of the China team to raise awareness of Queen s University amongst agents, partners, schools and prospective students through development and delivery of digital marketing plans and campaigns for the China/Hong Kong market. To assist the team in meeting recruitment and marketing targets through engaging students and recruitment partners through digital marketing channels and developing creative ideas to support recruitment and promotion activity.

2 DEPARTMENT: International Office REPORT TO: Senior Business Development Manager, China Main Responsibilities 1. Responsible for developing and delivering recruitment campaigns, lead generation tactics, digital advertising and PR aimed at engaging agents, parents, current and potential students in China. 2. Coordinating Marketing Collateral responsible for: ordering and maintaining supplies of University promotional materials Sourcing in-market printing and marketing suppliers Development of marketing presentations, posters, leaflets and collateral as required Arrange freighting of University materials for International Office promotional activity to students, agents, schools, British Council and other organisations as appropriate 3. Launch and manage Queen s social media communications across existing and new accounts on a daily basis, with a view to communicating as a consistent single voice. Also responsible for writing, editing, and manages all social media related content. Ensure regular communication with the marketing team to keep up to date and publish good news stories, events and student achievements. 4. Work alongside the University marketing and communications team as well as the International Marketing Manager to inform China marketing activity, china website content, content plans, help to generate content for social media and support the delivery of University marketing plans in China. Provide marketing briefs and input to planning as required. 5. Manage online discussions in a timely manner, develop responses to comments, questions received through social media sites and online news outlets. Review the Queen s website and China pages on a regular basis advising on amends, changes, new content ideas and updates as required. 6. Monitor, research digital activities of students, recruitment partners and competitors in China on a regular basis and identify key trends or opportunities for Queen s University recruitment and promotion. 7. Produce student profiles and student testimonials from current students and alumni to be shared on the Social Media network for China and Hong Kong. 8. Deal with routine enquiries from student, staff and visitors (i.e. by telephone, written Correspondence, in person) and provide them with the relevant information and refer complex queries to other staff. 9. Provide assistance for events and functions (e.g. conferences, exhibitions, Alumni Events and Agent Familiarisation events) taking place in China, Hong Kong or Belfast. 10. Provide administrative support for the China team including arranging travel, hospitality, registration of delegates, recruitment reports, event bookings and event feedback. 11. Update and maintain databases and reports as required. 12. Undertake other duties as required by the China team and International Office. PLANNING AND ORGANISING: Prioritise, plan and organise own work within set parameters to ensure operational efficiency. Understand and plan the of running social media advertising campaigns at key times of the year Organise and manage students and Alumni for profiles and testimonials

3 Ensure fast turnaround to questions or comments on social media Ensure daily uploads on social media RESOURCE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES (e.g. People, Finance, Equipment): Monitor and replenish levels of stocks/stores of marketing material for promotion in China Manage and process student ambassador contracts and timesheets INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: Daily contact with Supervisor, work colleagues and University staff. Liaison with other University offices, students and outside bodies, including INTO. Ensure agents always receive appropriate levels of customer service Regular contact with prospective applicants, applicants, parents via social media or EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE 1. Education and Qualifications A minimum of 5 GCSE s at Grade C or above to include English Language and Mathematics or NVQ Level 2 Administration or equivalent in a relevant subject. A relevant diploma or degree in marketing communications and 1 year s relevant experience. UK Alumni. 2. Experience A minimum of 2 years experience in providing a customer facing service including 1 year demonstrating experience working in marketing communications. Experience of working in successful marketing communications campaigns. Hands-on working knowledge of marketing communications, including evidence of proof reading and attention to detail. Experience of using and creating content in a business environment for social media platforms for example Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Experience of writing and updating content on web sites. Experience of using customer surveys, collating feedback and reporting on data trends. Ability to use a wide range of IT packages (Microsoft Office, and internet) 3. Other Skills/Knowledge Excellent standard of English/Chinese language evidenced by written and verbal

4 communication and interpersonal skills. Evidence of dealing with students and communicating via social media. Ability to deal effectively with faceto-face, telephone and written enquiries. Capable of following oral and written instructions. Understanding of relevant Health and Safety requirements Knowledge of relevant systems, processes, policy, legislation, quality standards and procedures, e.g. Data Protection, Health and Safety 4. Presentation/Communication Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate clearly with customers. Interest in and evidence of effective communication with young adults and knowledge in creating impactful two-way communication. 5. Personal Qualities Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Ability to maintain a confidential and professional approach in all areas of work. 'Can do' approach and positive attitude to problem solving. Ability to plan and organise workload to meet standards and deadlines. Calm, flexible, willing to adapt to new tasks and duties 6. Special Factors and other Requirements Willing to work flexible hours as required in a customer facing service The job holders will report administratively to CBBC s office managers, and functionally will report to and be supported by Senior Business Development Manager, Queen s University Belfast.
